The Sins and Virtues Clutch [ FMA CLUTCH ] The Pride EggThe Wrath EggThe Temperance Egg! This egg knew you would! A mischievous feeling will overcome you and, the egg will rock back and forth, keen on getting your attention. But, behind this happy feeling, far behind, there is a sadness to this egg, a sadness shared only with The Diligence Egg, the Temperance Egg's most beloved companion.[/ul] The Diligence Egg [/ul] The Envy EggThe Lust EggThe Humility EggThe Charity Egg though, that certainly can't be... And, you're right, those who stay long enough with the egg will find, beneath the empty numbness this egg sends off, is a soft, gentle pulse. A single sign of life, a quiet hope. It's not much but, it lets you know something's there.[/ul] The Patience Egg [/ul] The Greed EggThe Chastity EggThe Kindness EggThe Gluttony Egg is licking you. Perhaps it's best not to touch this flesh colored, ouroboros marked egg after all...[/ul] The Sloth Egg - - - .] Nestled safely within the hatching sands lays a large, imposing clutch. Xingth, the obsidian mother of the clutch, lays close to her eggs, ready to spring to their protection, if the need be. The clutch has been still, mostly, since their hatching but, today, as dusk turns to night and stars sprinkle across the sky.. they move. It is a simple start, one shaking with vigor, and the others all soon follow. There's not too much shaking but, it is enough to alert Xingth's attention. She has had several clutches before, in the past, but none that give off such a feeling like her most recent clutch. Across the Weyr, fast asleep, her mate, Amestristh awakes, eyes swiveling with color as he feels a tug at the back of his mind. His children, they hatch. All across the Weyr a voice rings, bellowing into the minds over everyone, everyone awake. Get up, get up, my children hatch!Just now getting into bed, in the candidates barrack, Sydney's eyes widen, her ears picking up on the humming that now echoes throughout the Weyr. She has to get up! And, within in an instant, she's dressed and on her way to the Sands, her feet burning beneath her as she rushes towards the clutch. She arrives soon enough and watches with a wide eyed curiosity as the eggs rock and shake. "Oh, for the love of..."
She'd been right about to fall asleep, her mind drifting happily between consciousness and sleep, when Xingth's call rang in her head. It was like...someone sneaking up behind you with a pair of cymbals, just to spite you, for fun and all. Slowly, and rather grumpily at that, Hedgie rolled out of bed, disturbing three very disgruntled cats and one dog. Her hair stuck up in about a thousand directions, the black-brown curls where everywhere. Still half-asleep, and very much dressed for bed, she tucked what she could behind her ears.
Grumpily, for she hated waking up from a nice night of sleep, she made her way to the egg's location. Yawning, the teen crossed her arms over her chest. Half-open hazel eyes watched each egg in turn, eyes dashing from one bright red shell to a darker one, to another, delicately-colored egg. She sighed. This was no time to be up, really.
Half-asleep, and practically dead on her feet, she swayed from side to side.
This couldn't take too long...she'd collapse on the sands if it did.
She was sure of it.

Kitty was brushing her teeth when she heard it. And then she knew.
Eggs were hatching.
She dropped her toothbrush upon realization of these and barely remembered to rinse and spit on her way out the door to the Sands. "I'll be home soon," she tossed over her shoulder to her little sister. Luckily her parents were already in bed or else they wouldn't have let her go until morning. But by then it would have been too late. The dragon eggs would already have hatched and she wouldn't have gotten one. Although they may have made an exception. She'd be back before they knew she was gone.
Kitty arrived at the Sands very soon, to see a very exhausted-looking Hedgie looking like she was about to fall over. "Hey, Hedge," she greeted her friend, coming up to stand beside her. This must be the place.
Sure enough, there were several eggs there in front of her. Fourteen, to be exact. A large clutch. Surely Kitty would get one of these. "You okay? You look dead on your feet," she commented. "Well, if this Hatching will get on the road you can go home and back to bed. Then you won't have to worry about face planting into the sand." Kitty had no idea how Hedgie could be tired. This was a hatching! Kitty personally was pretty dang excited!
She was going to get one of these eggs, she was sure of it.

Wow, that time again? a sleepy thought entered the young girl's mind, opening her hazel eyes. She soon snapped out of her drowziness, remembering it once again. "Eggs are hatching?" she exclaimed in a hushed voice, rising to her feet and quickly getting dressed in her black t-shirt and shorts, and barreling out the door.
She had nothing better to do, rather than see more eggs hatch. In her mind, this was more exciting than typing anyday, even with her friends. She ran her hand down her outfit, hoping to get it the least bit straight, and she arrived sooner than she had thought.
Her gaze drifted to two canidates that were already there: Hedgie and Kitters. Quietly, yet quickly, she rushed up and tackled the closest to her, Kitty. "Ehem, guess who?" she chuckled, a smirk widening acrossed her face.

It had been a long day for Yellow. First her brothers- who were still Weyrbrats and too young to become candidates, not that she was sure they even wanted to become candidates anyway- had woken her up, being way too loud outside of her room in the candidates barracks for her liking. Then she had to go to her lessons, which were quickly becoming very difficult and overwhelming for the teen. After that had been chores, and those had tired her out considerably. By the end of the day she was exhausted and just wanted to sleep. She had trudged into her room, not even caring that it wasn't dark yet and fell onto her bed.
She had only just closed her eyes, though, when a voice bellowed into her mind, much too bellowing and mysterious to be a human. Get up, get up, my children hatch! It must be a dragon! Yellow realized with a start. Her exhaustion forgotten, she jumped from her bed and scrambled to her dresser, quickly finding and putting on the white candidates robes. A clutch had been laid and was going to hatch already, time flew by so fast! She hoped she Impressed this time; frankly she was tired of being a candidate.
She ran through the twilight as quickly as she could to get to the hatching grounds. It was rapidly becoming darker and she suspected it would be completely dark by the time the hatching was over. But as of right now she luckily had enough light to be able to see, and she entered the hatching sands in record time. She wasn't the first, though, for she saw a few of her friends had already arrived.
"Hi everyone," she said, waving to Hedgie, Kitty and Icy. Yellow then glanced at the eggs placed in the sand next to their obsidian mother and marveled at how large the clutch was. Of course she was going to Impress this time! With so many eggs, why wouldn't she?

that it was hard to keep your eyes trained on just one egg. Two eggs seemed to be in some sort of competition, however, and if anyone really wanted to bet which egg would hatch first, it was one of those two. The larger of the two eggs, The Greed Egg, was rolling back and forth, shaking occasionally. It was careful not to roll into any other eggs, which was rather strange but, it continued to roll and roll. The smaller of the eggs, however, The Pride Egg, seemed to be... vibrating, it was shaking so hard! The egg it was closest to, The Gluttony Egg, unfortunately shared the brunt of the egg's shaking. Every now and then The Pride Egg would bounce back into The Gluttony Egg causing the huge egg to quiver and shake. But, anyway, these two eggs were in a race against each other. Who would hatch first, everyone want to know, want to see. They would hatch soon, yes, any minute now, though, who would was anyone's guess. By now, The Greed Egg rocked to the left and then would jerk suddenly to the right, rolling down in a sand dune. It would continue this strange behavior for a while, until its mother, Xingth, would have to call for her bonded it keep it from rolling off the sands. The Pride Egg continued on its vigorous shaking and, for a while, it looked as if neither would hatch. That is, until, Amestristh arrived, moving to sit next to Xingth. And that's when The Pride Egg began to roll and jerk violently. Oh my my, this egg wanted out, it wanted out now! It wanted to greet its father, father, father, father... Suddenly, The Greed Egg seemed like nothing, because now everyone's eyes were on The Pride Egg as it jerked and shook. Then, with such force that shards flew off into canidates' faces, the dragonet inside the egg broke through. Using his face. Sharp edges of shard scratched against the dragonet's face as it jerked and rolled, his shell seemed especially thick, for some shards even caused ichor to drip down the sides of his face. It gave a startling shriek and then seemingly flapped its wings within the egg, shattering it to bits. Egg goo and bits of shard clung to the dragonet, not that it took away from the dragonet's appearance. It was a black, no bigger then a green, with even darker wings and sharp, sunken in eyes. But, unlike a black, this dragonet had a strange feeling to it. It stood like a bronze, it felt like a bronze. This dragonet oozed bronze and, had it not been for its hide and size, you would of thought it was a bronze. This dragonet demanded respect. The male dragonet drew in a breath and surveyed all those gathered, his eyes seemingly to scowl as he eyed the unhatched eggs and then the canidates. Then, as if he didn't care, or had more important things to tend to, the dragonet stomped off to sit next to his father, tail curling around his legs like a feline as he watched. And, like everyone else, he waited for the next egg to hatch. And soon enough, the next dragonet hatched. The Greed Egg momentarily forgotten, shook even more now and, if you listened closely, you could hear the silent 'tappa tap tap' against the egg shell. The little dragonet inside was pounding, pounding, pounding- And then, with a start, a red wing ripped through the egg, pale veins stretched all across the sails of the egg. Amestristh, sitting proudly next to his mate, gave an undignified snort as the egg shook once more. Poor thing just couldn't get out. One large wing flapping awkwardly out of the egg and the rest of it still stuck within the egg, The Greed Egg gave one more powerful roll. And roll it did, right into the paws of its tiny brother. The Black Master of All Dragon blinked and stared at the egg oddly, before looking up at his father. The large bronze heaved a sigh and pushed the egg away with his nose, careful of the dragonet's wing sticking out. Now confused and rolling, the dragonet inside let out a strangled cry and flopped angrily, its one wing picking up enough speed to lift it in the air, barely. And then it came crashing down into the sand, the egg shattering as it hit the ground. Now sprawled out for all to see lay a strange, chimeric dragon. One half black, one half red, it was certainly a sight to see. A male, by all accounts, The Split in Two Dragon let out a squeak, both eyes opening as it surveyed all around. And yet, as it opened both eyes, only one flashed any color. Mine? The eye on the red half of the dragon swirled with confusion, the lanky hatchling taking a shaky step forward. Suddenly the color vanished from the dragonet's left eye, instead appearing in the right eye. Come out, come ouuutt Mine And now his voice had changed, as had his stance. The dragon took a delicate step forward, before both eyes flashed with the rainbow color of impression. KittyMine, come out nooow, before I come to get you myself. - Anything you can do, I can do better. I can do anything Better than you. No, you can't. Yes, I can. No, you can't. Yes, I can. No, you can't. Yes, I can, Yes, I can! - (M) Red-Black Greedlingth Red Avaritiath | Black Lingth"The Split in Two Dragon" Impresses To: Kitty Code: (Avaritiath) #933434, #c97878, #621919 | (Lingth) #2a2424 , #0f0f0f Appearance: A striking creature, Greedlingth seems to be made up of all limbs. He's stuck at an awkward length, his limbs all long and lanky, perfect for a black, while his actual body is the sturdy size of a red. Of course, once he's fully grown, this will no longer be a problem (Greedlingth will grow into his limbs, when given the time) but, at the moment, it is a problem. Greedlingth is far more likely to trip then his other siblings and, his wings, far bigger then he is when unfurled, do not help the dragon much. His paws are big, far too big for him at the moment, and his tail is extra long. This is actually a good thing, for it gives Greedlingth an extra sense of balance. Looking as if two dragons were taken apart, and then sown back together, Greedlingth's hide is split evenly in two. The left side of his body is a dull red color, and, while his hide is extra thick, you can see pale, near pink, veins all across the left side of the dragon's hide. This is the side most people associate with “Avaritiath”, if only because only his left eye will swirl with color when Avaritiath controls his mind. The sails of his wing on his life side, however, are a dark black color, darker then the right side of his hide. This is the only color on the left side of Greedlingth that isn't black and, it's strange to see the contrast. Now, the right side of Greedlingth's hide is a dull black color. In fact, this is the only color of Greedlingth's right side, besides the dark red, veiny sails he sports. On his right sails, unlike his left sails, Greedlingth sports a black “ouroboros” marking, the very same marking he sported on his egg. Most people associate the right side of the dragon as “Lingth” and, for the very same reason they associate his left side as Avaritiath. When Lingth controls his mind, only his right eye will swirl with color. With a strange gangly body, a long serpent like neck, a narrow head, and a split hide Greedlingth can certainly be a strange thing to look at.Though, depending on who is in control of his mind at the moment, his odd appearance can be described as “intimidating” or “adorable”. When Avaritiath is in control, the dragon's stance is hard and tense, ready to pounce. He has delicate steps, when Avaritiath is in control of his mind. When Lingth is in control, however, his gait is carefree, with a well guarded cautiousness to it.It's strange, how quickly his gait can change but, then again, it's strange how quickly his mind will change.Mind Voice: Seeing as Greedlingth is truly two dragons in one body, it is only natural for him to have two separate mind voices, both varying on who is in control of his body and mind at the moment. Both voices are true opposites of each other so, it's rather startling to listen to the dragon when a different mind takes over. His first voice, Lingth's, is soft and bubbly, like the waves hitting the shore of a beach. There's a tone of mischief to it, because everything Lingth does is so silly and fun. His voice is light, showing off his carefree nature. He does not care either way, he just wants everything to be fine and everyone to have fun. Right? Right! Of course, though, if you listen closely, you can hear a well guarded seriousness to his voice, hidden behind his peppy voice. Now, the second voice, Avaritiath's, is gruff and cocky. His voice brims with confidence, though its far more gruff then anything. Avaritiath is a tough thing, that's for sure. Some have compared his voice to the sound of a dog's snarl and, mostly, they are true. Avaritiath's voice is deep and sharp, much like the growl or a bark of a dog. Avaritiath's Personality:Loyal, Chivalrous, Greedy, Wants “Everything”, Cocky, SelfishLingth's Personality:Shrewd, Observant, Child Like, Silly, Light Hearted, Care Free, Comical, Loyal[/ul]

Ivy's hazel gaze was unfocused and pointed in the general direction of a particularly uninteresting houseplant across from the cluttered dining table. Of course no one had notified the teenager that dinner had passed while her power nap turned into a five hour snooze. Whew, all nighters took it out of her. Her fork made idle scratching sounds against the plate as she glanced down at the very unappealing broccoli. That was all that was left. Her grandparents hadn't saved any of the spaghetti for her, just leaving the now cold and wet vegetables on a plate for the girl to push around and eventually give to the dog. My how that that dog begged. The black and white Boston Terrier gave a small moan, which turned into a honk-like hack that shook his twenty-five pound body.
"Oh puppy..." Ivy whimpered, giving the sweet dog a floppy chunk of the stem, which he promptly rejected. The girl raised an eyebrow, "I know, I don't like it either." she said, standing up with her plate in her left hand, balanced extremely well for the tiny size of her fingers. She shoved her chair in at an awkward angle and sulkily walked over to the kitchen sink, eying the fridge hungrily. There was nothing in there that required less than five minutes of preparation time.
Like always, Mo followed her, giving her sore calve a swipe with his tongue. Ivy knelt, pursing her lips as she scratched behind her best friend's ears lovingly. "D'aww I wuve you too pu-"
Her quiet baby talk was interrupted by the call. Springing to her feet, Ivy rushed past her startled pet and sped down the stairs, quickly darting into her room. It was dark, and she was obviously waking her sleeping grandparents... but, who cares. The eggs are hatching! She quickly traded her green t shirt and yoga pants for a thick sweater, jeans, and her scuffed leather boots. It was an especially cold night tonight, perhaps that had something to do with the unexpected event. Ivy pulled her shoulder length brown hair into a ponytail and flung a scarf over her shoulders before racing out of the room. She was good at preparing herself in a hurry.
She could just hear the beginning of her grandfather's protest when she pulled the front door open and darted out, calling some rushed form of 'see ya later' to her bewildered house mates. She hopped onto her bike, already glad she had clad herself in such warm clothing. The frigid air nipped at her cheeks, reminding her how dark it was... No. No she won't let herself get all worked up tonight. This was a happy occasion, not a time to frighten herself over nothing. She focused on the dim outline of the road, wishing there was just a little bit more moonlight to guide her to the sands. The humming was getting stronger and stronger.. Ivy hoped she wouldn't miss it.
- - -
She burst onto the sands, letting her bike tumble into the warm grains. It would be fine. The girl wrapped the long woolen scarf around her neck tightly, eying some of the more lightly dressed candidates with wide eyes. She didn't even get cold easily. Ivy walked over to join her friends. "Kitty, Hedge, Yellow." she exclaimed, throwing her hands into the air. There was nothing this teen loved more than dragons. Dragon babies could have her foaming at the mouth. She didn't need any sort of answer to realize she had missed some of the action. Her friends didn't reply to her greeting with much more of a nod... Ivy wasn't offended.
She turned to see an already hatched beb, a male standing regally beside his father. "Ooh... is that, a black?" Ivy mumbled to herself more than to the other onlookers. His hide was inky and uniform but.. his presence was something much different. Something about the hatchling was unnerving to Ivy, though. Perhaps it was the ichor dripping down his jaws or just the intense aura of authority that surrounded him.. He just didn't seem friendly.
Ivy turned her attention away from the newly hatched, to the still struggling. She wondered if she would receive a dragon of her own tonight.. She hoped so. She knew so.

For once, Izzie's nocturnal tendencies had turned out for the better. When the call went out, the teenage girl was wide awake and flailing determinedly away at a novel of ridiculous length, hoping to reach the twenty thousand word mark and get back on track after a day or two of lackluster writing. Alas, she was not to reach that mark just yet -- a voice rang out in her mind. Get up, get up, my children hatch! it said.
"Ack!" she cried out, falling out of her chair in surprise.
On the one hand, there were baby dragons hatching. On the other hand, she kind of needed to get some homework done (which she had procrastinated on thanks to the aforementioned novel of ridiculous length). And by "kind of," she meant "really." Oh, conundrum...
Izzie thought about this for a second, and decided she'd write the last paragraph of her essay first. So she picked her glasses up off the floor and did that.
When she had finished the essay, Izzie dashed out of the house without a second thought, realizing vaguely in the back of her mind that she probably looked kind of unpresentable. Her dark, wavy hair was falling out of the hair tie trying to hold it back, and there were grass stains on her jeans. "There are lots of eggs," she said to herself, "I'm sure they can't all be gone, right? Right?"
Sure enough, she arrived at the Sands to find that although a number of her friends had gathered there, only a couple of the eggs had hatched. She breathed a sigh of relief. "Hi everyone," Izzie greeted them, but everyone, including herself, was more interested in watching the hatching than talking right now.
There were still -- she counted them quickly -- twelve eggs left. Surely she would manage to Impress this time, right?
Right?
I knew I should've come here first and done that essay later, the girl thought, biting her lower lip nervously as they all waited for the next egg to hatch.

Kitty glanced away from the clutch (still amazing at how large it was - surely she would get one of the hatchlings!) when she heard a sound off to the back of her. Suddenly she found herself airborne, a strong force pushing her from behind - a body? Next thing she knew she was laying in a faceplant on the ground, face smushed into the sand from the weight of who-or-whatever had just attacked her. Well, if it was someone scary Hedgie would have done something (she hoped, anyway.) "Guess who?" spoke her attacker, and Kitty recognized the voice of Icy. "Hey, Icy," the greeted, sitting up and dumping her friend on the sandy ground beside her.
Yellow showed up then, greeting the three of them. Kitty and Icy were still laying in a heap on the ground at the time. "Hey, Yellow," she welcomed, springing to her feet and giving her friend a quick hug. Now there was nothing to do but wait for the eggs to hatch.
Sue enough, first one egg began to hatch, and then another. The Pride egg began vibrating very hard, and then the Greed egg began to roll. It actually worked to avoid its siblings. First it went one way, then it would jerk back the other way, as if it were fighting with itself. It rolled down a dune and Kitty was worried it might end up rolling far from the Sands.
She was distracted, though. The Pride egg demanded the attention of all present at the Hatching. It began vibrating violently, even more so than before, and finally it broke through.
With its face.
The shell looked very thick and Kitty watched in surprise as the dragonet forced its way out, ichor running down its face from where the shell scratched it. Finally, finally, it broke through all the way. It was a black, Kitty thought - but it stood like a bronze and oozed bronze. It commanded respect, and Kitty admired it. It was tiny, though; no bigger than a green. Kitty expected it to go find a rider.
No such luck. It simply turned and walked over to its father, who had recently arrived, and parked its little dragony butt there on the ground, waiting for its sibling.
No matter. It didn't want to Impress yet, that was fine. Because just then, the Greed egg began to hatch. A red wing shoved through the shell. But then it seemed to get stuck. It rolled right into the legs of its brother, before Amestristh rolled it away. Then it began flapping it wing awkwardly, managing to get a little bit off the ground before crashing back down, and, as a result, breaking open the shell the rest of the way.
What emerged from the shell shocked the teenager. It was no real color - no, instead it was an even split right down the middle, red on one side and black on the other. She'd never heard of any other instant when this occurred. Kitty barely registered the arrival of Izzie and Ivy as she watched the split dragon, who got right to business in finding His. His eyes flashed alternately, confusing Kitty. She observed the interesting dragon quietly, and then she heard it.
KittyMine, come out noooow before I come to get you myself.
What in the world? As the dragon's mind voice spoke, its eyes color started out on the black side and then switched to the red side a little ways into it. When the eye color switched, as did the stance and mindvoice of the dragon, from carefree to almost vicious and doglike. Were there really two different dragons here or what?
Either, way, it had Impressed to her of all people, and kitty knew she was going to have a handful with this one. She led him off the Sands and to the Stands in a happy daze - she was going to finish watching her friend impress before she left, leading her Greedlingth all the way. Let's go, let's gooo. I don't want to stay here. No, let's stay! My siblings haven't hatched yet! The reversal of mind voices confused Kitty, one of them very obviously more ferocious and possessive and the other more carefree and humorous.
Mine, can't we leave? No, Mine, let us stay! Please!

, waiting for the dragonet to make a move, to impress. So far though, it seemed like the recently hatched dragon had no inkling to impress. He was waiting for something, perhaps one of his siblings? Whatever he waited for, however, he made no motion of speaking about it. He merely sat next to his father, looking far more like a Bronze then a Black should. It was unnerving, that black but, no candidates set out to say anything. No, not with Amestristh glowing like that, they would not speak a word about the black. The bronze dragon seemed overly pleased with his first hatched son. Playing favorites already? How horrible. Eventually though, the candidates' attention was drawn away from the royal black and back to his unhatched siblings. Many eggs were shaking now (except for The Sloth Egg but, that egg had never really shook, had it?), even the ever so still Charity Egg was shaking, barely but, it was still moving. The one egg that drew the most attention, however, was The Patience Egg it seemed, despite its name, terribly impatient to hatch already. Large cracks were appearing all across the egg, breaking the printed words on its shell off in two. One seemingly large crack was stretching across the top of the egg, little bits of shards breaking off as the egg rolled and rolled. Finally, after what seemed like forever of watching the egg struggle, a gray-green nose poked its way out of the egg, sniffing the air. The nose, after sniffing the air for a moment, struggled forward a bit, revealing a gray-green muzzle that seemed to grin broadly at the open air. And then, as quickly as it appeared, the muzzle vanished back into the egg, resuming its rocking, though, with far more force this time then before. After a few more minutes, however, the rocking stopped, in fact, the egg stopped moving all together. It stayed this way for a few more minutes, until, finally, a nicely sized green dragonet burst from inside of it. Finally! Stretching, the little green revealed her stunning hide for all gathered to see. It was so stuffy in there!Cocking her head, the green surveyed all those gathered and then turned to glance at the eggs. Her eyes lingered on The Humility Egg and The Charity Egg for a moment, before she scoffed. Not out yet? I should of known those two would take their time, they always do!Oddly enough, this seemed to infuriate The Humility Egg causing it to shake even more. The green merely shook her head, before turning her gaze back to the Candidates and then, with a happy step, she took off to find her bonded. First she nosed around the males, then Sydney, followed by Izzie, before finally stepping in front of Yellow. The green sniffed the candidates clothes for a moment, before drawing back. There you are, YellowMine! The dragonet's eyes swirled with the rainbow of impression and her face seemed to nearly be beaming. Your Winryth was looking for you![/ul] - We watch the season pull up its own stakes And catch the last weekend of the last week Before the gold and the glimmer have been replaced, Another sun soaked season fades away - Green Winryth"The Lonely Mechanic Dragon"Impresses To: Yellow Code: 52ac4c, 255a21, 71956e Appearance:A nice, pretty green, Winryth is a bit on the big size. She's long and slender, much like a feline, with a short head and long tail. She's a bit bigger then an average green but, not in a bad way. No, not in a bad way at all. She'll most certainly be a looker, once she's fully grown but, for now, she's merely pretty in that same sense that all babies are pretty. With a delicate frame and large, spiraling wings, she'll be a fast thing one day. Like most dragons, Winryth will feel more at home in the sky, for that is what she's built for. For flying, not for staying grounded.
Striking in color and pattersn, Winryth's hide is green, much like fresh grass in spring. This color only covers a partial amount of her hide, however. Most of the rest of it is made up in varying shades of green. The tip of her nose and muzzle, for instance, is a gray-green color, the same color as her claws. The tips of the “fingers” on her wings is this very same color and, all across her hide you can see this gray-green color, bordering other shades of green. It borders her jaw, joining up with another strip of gray-green below her headknobs and frills. Said frills and the top half of her head and neck are a dark, foresty green color. This color can also be seen on her front right paw and shins, where it drips down into her middle toe.
The ridges of her eyes bear this same green color, as does her tail. Beneath her eyes, and the tip of her tail, however, are pale gray-green, the same pale gray-green that borders her jaw. Now, where the dark green on her tail cuts off, a new, bright green color takes hold. This color is speckled with teal spots and, ends right where the frills on her tail starts. This same bright, speckled green color covers her neck and the start of her wings. Finally, Winryth's front legs are a nice, teal color. The “sails” of her wings bear this same color and, much like the first “inner sails” of her wings sport splashes of bright green, her legs bear these same splashes.
Yes, Winryth is a very pretty dragon and, just let her grow into her wings, and she'll be even prettier one day.Mind Voice:Winryth has a pretty, homely voice. It reminds people of a leaf in the wind, the sound of a field out on a farm... It's very gentle, soft like the wind. Her voice reminds people of different things, happy days, mostly, but, it always bears the same, soft, gentle tune to it. It's the type of voice you want to hear over and over again, if only because she sounds as if she genuinely cares for you and everything about you. It's a nice voice, one that'll have grown males purring when she's fully grown.Personality:Strong Willed, Emphatic, Enthusiastic, Accepting, Forgiving,

Almost all the eggs were shaking now, and as Izzie watched in anticipation, the Patience Egg cracked open to reveal a small, pretty green female dragon. She held her breath as the newly-hatched dragon searched the crowd for a candidate to Impress to, feeling a rush of hope as the green came towards her. But the dragon moved on, sniffing at Yellow's clothes for a moment.
Soon Izzie realized that the green had Impressed to the other girl, and felt her heart sink a little. Well, don't worry, she thought to herself, there are still eleven left... I'm sure one of them will choose me...
"Congratulations," she said to Yellow with a smile, but soon her attention was back on the eggs as she waited for the next dragon to break forth from its shell.

It seemed to be just moments after she arrived that the eggs started to shake more, and Yellow was glad that she had arrived when she did. If she had gotten there a few seconds later, she would be missing the now rather curious competition between the Pride egg and the Greed egg. The two eggs were shaking quite a bit, and seemed to be racing to see who would hatch first. Sibling rivalry or something more? Yellow watched as the Pride egg suddenly got a burst of motivation and the dragon inside broke through the egg shell. The girl threw her arms up to block her face from the flying shards of egg but she still managed to get some egg goo on herself. Ick.
After that was over, though, she looked over the black dragonet that had hatched. He seemed to be a bit injured from breaking out of his egg, but other than that he appeared healthy. He was a handsome one, oozing with confidence that seemed more bronzelike than black. She smiled a bit at that, then watched as he went to sit by his father, looking every bit like a bronze despite his hide color. She wondered who he would Impress to, since he seemed more than content with watching his siblings hatch instead of finding a rider.
The Greed egg was now rolling around, having lost to its brother but still trying to hatch. After it was nudged away by its father, it ended up crashing and shattering, revealing a.... was that a red or a black?
Some sort of chimeric dragon, maybe? Yellow could not stop staring at the half-black, half-red dragon, watching its bizarre behavior and stride. Its eyes were even more strange, only one showing any color at a time. What a strange dragon indeed. The red-black Impressed to her friend Kitty, and Yellow simply grinned at her friend and offered a "Congratulations!" That dragon seemed to be one of a kind, although Yellow wasn't sure how she would handle such a creature herself. She wanted a more... normal one.
The next egg to hatch was the Patience egg. An egg with a wonderfully elegant shell that seemed to emanate sadness, Yellow watched the egg closely and with quite a lot of interest as it cracked and crumbled. A gray-green nose poked out of the shell, sniffing, before retreating and finally breaking the shell open, revealing a pretty green dragon.
A charming voice drifted into her mind, remarking about the stuffiness of the shell and the slowness of the Humility and Charity eggs. And then the green took off toward the candidates, sniffing and nosing at some, before making her way over to her. There you are, YellowMine! she said. Your Winryth was looking for you! The voice was beautiful, but not as much as the sensation of Impression that was soon influencing her.
Yellow reached out to pet the top of Winryth's head, now beaming just as much as her dragon was. "Why hello there. How pretty you are! I guess you're hungry, huh?"
Winryth nodded, crooning, Yes, starving. May we get food? And I want to come back afterward to see my brothers hatch as well, She added, glancing once more toward the Humility and Charity eggs. I'm a bit worried about them, those idiots, There was an affectionate tone to her voice even though the scolding attitude was clearly there. Yellow nodded in response to her green's request and then began to lead her off of the sands, waving and smiling at her friends as she left. "Of course, Winryth." Good.

What a commotion! Ivy had subconsciously wandered away from the group of other waiting candidates, finding herself by herself, sitting in the warm sands. Funny how the tan grains stayed so heated in the dead of night.. that reminded her. The short girl tightened her striped scarf once again and stared ahead at the action. What an amazing having! Ivy turned her attention from the oh so bronze-like black, to the other eggs awaiting their moments of glory. Well, it appeared The Greed Egg was going next. It rolls and shook, vibrating across the sands and kicking up a fair amount of dust. Ivy raised her eyebrows as it struggled to break free of the shell that once held it safe, determined to destroy it's home.
How surprising, the egg rolled right into the paws of it's small brother, receiving none of the enthusiasm Ivy assumed it had expected. Only an exasperated sigh and a nudge, and the well clothed teenager could actually hear the dragon inside the shell's confused wails as it tumbled away before shattering. What a strange creature.. different colors, and the yellow of it's blinked from one side to the other. How amazing... Ivy couldn't deny her eagerness to Impress. She would love to have this dragon..
She wasn't disappointed as the beb chose Kitty as it's future rider, in hindsight, maybe the unique hatchling was a little over the top. She rubbed her palms together and smiled, it was good to see her friend get a dragon, she deserved it. But, soon enough, the eggs where becoming violent again. This time it was The Patience Egg, deciding to revolt against it name and charge ahead in front of it's brethren. Ivy watched in excitement as a beautiful dragon burst free of her equally beautiful egg. Sauntering off to find Hers.
To Ivy's disappointment, the gorgeous creature did not come her way, and instead chose one of the candidates clustered into the bigger group.. 'Perhaps I should move' Ivy thought, eyes trained on the green beb. Ooh, she chose Yellow! What a wonderful couple! Ivy almost stood and clapped with joy. She was very fond of Yellow, and seeing her get a dragon so soon in the hatching was great. But, still, there was small part of her mind that nagged about the now dwindling (if you could call the large number of unhatched dwindling) eggs...
What if she wasn't chosen?

was happening. Curled away in the back, The Envy Egg shook quietly, going unnoticed by most as cracks began to form all across its shell. Due to the pattern on the egg it was rather hard to tell the difference between the actual cracks and markings. None the less, the egg went on by unnoticed, shaking with so much fury and speed that it didn't even look like it was shaking. It shook and shook as The Patience Egg hatched and, while everyone had their eyes on the pretty green, it made its move. A large crack stretched across the side of the egg and, as its sibling searched for his bonded, the dragonet inside pushed its way out. It was.... frightening, to say the least. Dark green, the hatchling bore no real gender. Was it a male? A female? It was hard to tell, so very hard to tell. It was a bulky thing, with a head far too big for its body and large, trunk like legs. Its neck was thick and lumpy, appearing like their were bubbles beneath the dragonet's hide. It was large and bulky, and yet, it moved quietly, like a snake. The dragonet's eyes flashed, turning its head to stare at the candidates before skulking over to its unhatched siblings. Xingth, the first to notice her child, let out a choked gasp, her eyes never leaving its deformed build as it slunk through his siblings. Amestristh and the first hatched Black said nothing, their eyes trained on the green as well. The dragonet paused its movement, sniffing its siblings over, before letting out a snarl at The Humility Egg. The growl from behind it though, from its mother, made it move on. Finally the dragonet arrived at its destination The Sloth Egg, which was still yet to move, and, with such force that the ground shuddered a bit after wards, the dragonet brought its front paw down on the egg, glaring as the shell broke away and a large brown slumped forward. It did not move. Behind the green, its mother shrieked and The Black Master of All Dragon began to kreen. The green, The Cobbled Together Dragon nosed its dead sibling for a moment before moving on. It did not weep for the dead, nor did it search out its bonded, instead it slunk through its unhatched siblings once more. Watching, waiting.[/ul]

Eleven eggs left. There had to be one in the clutch that was right for her. But as Izzie watched, that number dwindled down to ten. The Envy Egg burst open in the background while the candidates were all watching the others, and out came a dragon unlike any that she had ever seen before, even more bizarre than the red and black one that had Impressed to Kitty earlier. This new baby dragon appeared to be terribly deformed, somehow, and like its brother from the Pride Egg, it seemed to have little interest in the candidates.
As if this new dragon hadn't already made Izzie tense -- physically speaking, it was far from the most beautiful thing in the world, but furthermore, it gave off a strange and disturbing aura -- the next egg to hatch, the Sloth Egg, cracked to reveal a dead dragon that flopped out and lay motionless. The horror of a dead baby dragon would have been bad enough, and in the back of her mind, Izzie realized that the number of unhatched eggs was growing smaller by the minute.
Only nine eggs were left now, and there were actually a good amount of candidates... what if she didn't Impress?
Twirling a loose strand of hair around her index finger nervously, Izzie surveyed the scene. It seemed that neither the Black Master of All Dragon or the Cobbled Together Dragon could be bothered to Impress yet... what were they waiting for? Was there really no one here to suit them, or were they just waiting for their other siblings to hatch?
