Mousy had heard the humming, and looked up in amazement. She pulled on her white Candidate's robe, fed her Guinea-Pig, shook her head as she looked at the Stick Insects, which had had a sudden population explosion, picked up her stick (still her dragon stick) and ran.
By the time she reached the Sands, she had fallen over three times, had a bruise not only on the side of her face (it was a persistent bruise), but on her left side.
But she was there.
She was there.
There they were.
Some of the Sins and Virtues Clutch (there were quite a few of them, too) had hatched, and two had already Impressed. Mousy watched one of them, but then looked at the other eggs.
Only one of the eggs really caught her attention, and that was the Chastity Egg. She was fascinated by the small-ish egg, and how it was determined to stay a little way away from its siblings, as though worried about something, but that it also had those strange markings on its shell, as though it wasn't quite as pure as it was meant to be. That really caught her eye, and she watched it for a while, but then she looked at the other Candidates: Izzie, Ivy, Sydney, Yellow (in fact, a dragon had just impressed to Yellow), Icy and Hedgie. She went to stand with them.
"Hey, guys," she said, nodding at them and hoping that no-one would question exactualy why she had a huge bruise travelling up the left side of her face.
Well, it didn't really matter, did it?
Not now that the eggs were hatching.

Still standing, though it was a miracle how, for her eyes kept drifting shut and she was yearning for something to lean on, Hedgie watched the hatching to the best of her ability. Okay, so it probably wasn't the best idea to come to these things tired and possibly even sick, but she wasn't going to miss this for the world.
No, the universe.
Nothing would stop her from coming to these things. Missing them, the opportunity they provided...well, that would be just stupid! What kind of fool missed a hatching because of a runny nose?
Well, a smart one..but we all have our moments where we come off a bit...foolish.
The next thing she knew, there was a strange red-black creature standing before Kitty..who she had been so gratefully leaning on. Hedgie quickly scrambled back, a bit confused by the flashing eyes, and the mismatched appearance of the hatchling.
Time went on, seeming rather slow, and then Yellow ended up with quite a wonderful green.
They were so lucky.
She wanted to be lucky, too. Maybe this would be her moment.
The still-born brown had her half-slumped over, brown eyes looking at the ones that had come out of this alive and well.
Luck wasn't everywhere, now was it?

Now here was an interesting sight. The sands were packed with her very own friends. Yoko toddled over just in time to see Yellow impress to a rather gorgeous green. And Kitepic seemed to have impressed to something....a red. A very strange red...as well.
Well, Yoko could not remember attending a Touching for this clutch. She leaned in to take a good look at the many gorgeous eggs. My my, there certainly were quite a few. She hoped they had enough candidates so that none would Between. Then, she remembered that she was a candidate as well.
Well, she hated to be rude to the others who were here and had attended the touching. But it was her duty as a candidate to make sure that none of the poor Dears Betweened do to the lack of people around.
So she went into a telephone booth (like Superman) and returned in snowy white candidate robes.
"Hiya Mousy," she bowed to her fellow candidate. "Hoping to impress this time around?"

would not stop shaking, no matter what, it seemed and, The Diligence Egg seemed to be shaking the most, currently. Not even the frightening presence of The Cobbled Together Dragon deterred it. It was as diligent as its name would suggest, rolling and rocking with an utmost precision. Tiny cracks were appearing on the shell, splintering down the sides and forming one large crack at the bottom of the shell. The egg's rocking seemed to confuse or amuse the green dragon, because, after a moment of watching the egg rock, it settled off close by, watching as it shook. The Temperance Egg, the egg The Diligence Egg was leaning on seemed to be rocking itself but, its shaking was easy to ignore. The Diligence Egg was just so much more... graceful about its hatching. After a moment or so, when the crack on the bottom of the egg was splintering open, the egg rolled gently onto its side, the bottom of it open and exposed. There was a moment where the dragonet inside was still but, soon enough, the bits of shard and egg goo on the bottom of the egg were pushed away and the dragonet inside revealed itself. It was... it was a gold! A gold of all things! Well, it looked like one, anyway, it was smaller then most golds but, that didn't really matter. Stretching and unfurling her wings, the little gold revealed her red splattered hide, splotches of color gracing her everywhere. It looked as if someone was sliced open, right next to her, and the blood splattered all across her. It was somewhat unsettling but, then again, most of this clutch had been unsettling so far. Now, with her size and ruby-red markings, many candidates were beginning to think that, perhaps, this was a Ruby-Gold. Whatever they thought, though, seemed to be nothing compared to what Xingth though. The queen was positively beaming, moving her head to try to catch every glimpse of her daughter. She was perfect, yes she was, and the second Queen for Xingth to bear. The candidates thought the dragonet was quite pretty, too. Perhaps not as pretty as Winryth, her clutch mate but, certainly far more pretty then that green dragon that just hatched. Speaking of said dragon... The green, at first, had merely blinked at its clutch mate's hatching. It had thought nothing of her, until the murmurs started. ”She's pretty, much prettier then that deformed thing!”And that's when it happened, the green envy and red anger flashed across the deformed dragon, its eyes whirling as it turned towards its sister. Lies lies lies lies. The Ruby-Gold, confused and waiting for her companions to hatch, did not notice her sibling until it was too late. The Cobbled Together Dragon attacked, hurling itself onto its sister's back with all the force it had. Ichor spew everywhere, the little chimeric dragonet screeching and attempting to get her sibling off its back. The green would have none of it though and, the more its sibling struggled, the deeper it dug its claws and teeth into her hide. Xingth had leaped to her paws the moment the green attacked but, was stopped short as a platinum something barreled into the side of The Cobbled Together Dragon, for, in the midst of all the confusion, The Temperance Egg had hatched. And behind the now fighting hatchlings, another dragonet limped out of The Temperance Egg, black wings dragging as it ran, leaped (limped, mostly) into the fight. Chaos had erupted on the Sands.[/ul]

Crap.
Crap, damn, christ.
I'm really late, aren't I? The placid thought drifted through my mind as I scurried through a maze of rooms and halls toward the hatching sands. It was quite contrary to my movements, which were bordering on frenzied as I raced in my thin little candidate's robe to the site of the newest clutch's hatching. Surely there would still be some eggs left when I got there. I'd always been a bit of a slow mover, slow thinker, slow everything-er, really. Any dragonet that was for me would be one of the last hatchers, right? It would be terrible if a hatchling emerged, one right for me and no one else, and then betweened because I had been to lazy to get off my butt and make it to the grounds. But I was an optomist by nature. Surely I hadn't missed much; I would arrive, skidding onto the sands, scorching sand spraying into my sandals but I wouldn't care because...
Because...
What the hell?

Things were going along pretty smoothly for a while -- the Cobbled Together Dragon, however, seemed to be scaring the other eggs, trying to make sure they didn't hatch. Izzie didn't really blame the poor eggs. She wouldn't have wanted to hatch either if a large, rather scary-looking dragonet was waiting nearby. When the Diligence Egg broke open to reveal a pretty ruby-gold dragonet, Izzie was just as impressed as the other candidates. I wonder who she'll Impress to, the teenage girl thought a little wistfully.
Then suddenly, pandemonium broke out.
The Cobbled Together Dragon flung itself onto the newly-hatched dragonet, who fought back, and in the blur of movement, the Temperance Egg hatched as well. But wait... were there two dragons in that egg?
The baby dragons continued to fight while horrified sounds emanated from the crowd. The hatchlings' mother, Xingth, looked very displeased, and for a brief moment, the thought of trying to intervene crossed Izzie's mind. She didn't want any of the dragons to get hurt! No, don't be stupid, she fortunately reminded herself, it's waaay too dangerous to get involved.
Nonetheless, she watched the fight on the Sands nervously, heart pounding in her chest. This was turning out to be a very unusual hatching; she only hoped that the dragonets didn't seriously injure each other, or crush any of the other eggs.

Ivy watched with wide eyes as the deformed hatchling emerged from it's shell. Normally she would've stopped herself from gasping, but this green... it was so mutated. She immediately covered her mouth, aghast at not only the hatchling's appearances, but the way it moved. Even though his (or her, it was so hard to tell) body was so unbalanced and mismatched, it moved with sinister grace that only a predator could posses.. and yet, Ivy was enticed. She could relate to the 'stumpy' look of the newly hatched green, and even if it was hideous, she was sure that there was some good somewhere inside.
All of these positive thoughts flew out the window as Ivy witnessed the green thrust it's paw through the shell of one of it's siblings. At first she thought The Cobbled Together Dragon had taken it's life, but soon she realized that this poor brown had been lifeless for some time. There was a moment of silence, and then the shriek of the queen and a kreen broke through the thick air. Loud whispers flew through the waiting candidates, but Ivy was still, filled with silent horror.
That was when madness struck.
A gold beb hatched, causing an excited gasp from Ivy, what were those red splotches? So gorgeous... She wouldn't mind such a darling beb for herself. Then the deformed green had had enough. The candidate let out a barely audible cry as she saw the ichor spew out onto the sands.. Stop! STOP! she screamed mentally, hands gripping at the extra fabric of her white candidate robe. She wanted so dreadfully to help the golden hatchling, but she knew she mustn't. At this point, she hardly registered that twins had emerged from their egg, throwing themselves at the mutated green.
This was too much to take. What the hell was going on?!

I was now situated in the Stands, Greedlingth by my side. I had some food in hand, feeding him, of course - his more playful side had landed him in a heap on the floor, moaning, Fooooood, while his other, more ferocious side would constantly be pulling himself back up to his feet, growling, Get up. Hurry up and feed me. I need the food. And so she had run back to the barracks real quick and gotten her Greedlingth something to eat, in an effort to not only keep him - them? - satisfied but also to sort out his confusing mood swings.
Turning her attention back to the clutch, Kitty realized that her friend, Yellow, had also Impressed, while the tiny black male was still sitting commandingly beside his father. Perhaps Yellow and her little green would join her in the stands soon with her beautiful green dragonet. Another dragon was also prowling around down there, a mutated green thing. I was glad I already Impressed; although Greedlingth was already proving to be a handful, I'd rather have my mixed dragon, odd though he looked, than that ugly thing.
It wasn't very nice, either, Kitty noticed. The first thing it did was break a hole in the Sloth egg. The dragonet inside slumped motionless to the ground - was it dead? Kitty felt a sad squeeze in her chest at this. Poor thing, dead before it had a chance to live. The disfigured green - was it a male or a female? - prowled around the eggs - who were all now shaking in some way - and its presence seemed to scare them, for the majority of the eggs that it passed stopped shaking, with the exception of the Humility egg, which was certainly determined to remain shaking, and the Diligence egg.
Suddenly, the Diligence egg cracked open, and a beautiful gold dragonet rose out, stretching her wings and revealing an odd red coloring on her back - was this a gold-ruby mix?
I must have her she must be mine No, leave her be! We don't need her, she belongs to one of them. One of them is Hers.
The dragon began arguing with itself again and I listened in silence as the mindvoices switched back and forth, the eye coloring also changing along with the stance. We are not taking her. She isn't ours, Kitty scolded. Just watch your sib-
She broke off suddenly. The disfigured dragon, it had just...snapped. It leaped at its sister and ichor splattered the sand. Kitty was truly worried about the safety of the gold when suddenly a platinum leapt at the green. Oh- another egg had hatched! The Temperance egg had hatched and a platinum was now protecting his sister. But wait, there was a limping black, too! Where had it come from? She counted all the other eggs- no, it couldn't have come from one of them. There were too many dragons, not enough eggs. It must be the platinum's twin. Poor thing, though, it got the rough end of the stick. Not only was its twin a platinum but it also seemed to be limping.
Let me go, Mine, I want to fight too. I need to defend my queen from that vile thing. Why should we help them? This has nothing to do with us. Idiot. That's not nice. She's mine. I told you, she's not yours. She's one of theirs.
We're staying here. Their constant bickering was starting to irritate me. I watched, unable to remove my gaze as the fight unfolded. Please stop them, please stop them, don't let them get hurt too badly...
((Bleh, Nano's making me forget to write in third person. I apologize for any 'I's, but I'm too lazy to go back and change them.))

had been hurled into, it released its hold on its sister. The bulky creature stumbled back a bit, before snarling and leaping back at its brothers. Ichor stained the sand, and the dragons, and the Ruby-Gold, once freed, had leaped right back into the fight. It was chaos, absolute madness. The hatchlings were all tangled up in one, giant, fighting mess. And their parents, well, Xingth was shouting at them, commanding them to break up. Her children would stop, for a moment, but then one would notice how another was hurt and, back to fighting they would go. Amestristh was cooly indifferent about it all but, during the chaos, turned to nod his head at his black son that sat next to him. And, with that, the tiny black stood to his feet, apparently having enough of the fighting. Invidiath! His voice was cold, calm, and oozed respect. The black neared the fighting siblings, lips pulled back into a snarl. Stop this at once, you big fool! The green, within the huddle of dragons, pulled back, releasing its hold on the limping black dragon's neck. But, Superbiath, they-No! You're making a mockery of our parents and of yourself. The Master of All Dragon huffed, his face tightening into a scowl. Go to your bonded, get out of here, now.The green sunk low to the ground, like a whipped dog, and huffed, slinking away. Its eyes flashed for a moment, before its voice rang out into all of the minds of the canidates. MINE! IVYMINE!Most canidates let out a sigh of relief, great, they weren't stuck with a monster. The green huffed, shooting forward to grab his bonded, Ivy's, robes with his teeth. Mine thinks Invidiath is pretty, right? Better then them, yes? Yes! And with that, the green dragged its bonded off. Behind them, huddled together, sat the Ruby-Gold and the Platinum, the injured black lay before them, and the Platinum gave a pitiful squeak, nosing his brother gently. Maesth? Maesth?[/ul] - In you I see dirty In you I count stars In you I feel so pretty In you I taste god In you I feel so hungry In you I crash cars - Green Invidiath"The Cobbled Together Dragon"Impresses To: Ivy Code: 142512, 255a21, 2a3229 Appearance:The first thing you notice about Invidiath is not its dark hide, nor the red splotches across it. No, the first thing you notice about the dragon is its huge head, one that perpetually hangs downward in an intimidating glare. Some people may think the green will one day grow into its head but, no, Invidiath will always be lopsided and bulky. It will always be, to be blunt, rather ugly. With its stubby head knobs, trunk like legs and wings that are far too big, it will always be an eyesore. Its feet are huge in the front, small in the back, and its tail drags, much like its large wings. Invidiath's neck is large and thick, bubbling up around the front, as if bubbles of air are stuck beneath its hide. These bubbles stretch across to its frills, where they stop, suddenly, and seem to die out around its legs.
Just look at the green, you'd think it wouldn't be able to stand or walk fully, that'd it would have a crooked gate. You're wrong, for Invidiath has the presence of a predator, instead of walking it more or less slithers, skulking across the ground like a serpent.
Sadly enough, if it was not for its bulky build, Invidiath could possibly be considered pretty, in its own, strange way. Its hide is a dark, dark green color, like the forest. Its frills, eye ridges, and headknobs are a yellow-green color, as is its tail and ribs. Here and there it sports dark, gray-green stripes, such as around its yellowy-green areas and his front feet. Finally, it sports dark black, like dried blood, and dark red splotches across its hide, something that makes it look even more frightening, when added to Invidiath's stance and build.Mind Voice:Imagine thousands of people, all screeching, crying, and murmuring. Now picture them doing this all in your head, at once. This is what Invidiath's voice sounds like, like hundreds of wails in your mind. You can hear a loud, youthful voice above the screeches, occasionally but, like Invidiath, the gender of the voice is indistinguishable. Most people, when hearing Invidiath's voice for the first time, are hit with a wave of nausea or dizziness. Its bonded will get use to its voice though, eventually, and soon, while everyone else hears the screeches, they will only hear the youthful voice above the screams. It's just the way Invidiath's voice works but, none the less, the first few weeks will be... painful, to say the least.Personality:Temperamental, Instigator, Energetic, Easily Jealous, Has a Fragile Ego, Takes joy in watching others “squirm” and suffer

Ivy watched with widened eyes as the flurry of dragons tumbled over each other, refusing to obey their furious mother. She sat frozen as ichor stained the hatching sands, hissing, growling, and cries of pain ringing clearly through the night air. Ivy leaned over onto her knees, face contorted in fear and worry at the sight of the fighting, no, they were siblings! They couldn't go and kill each other. Her mind was on the spectacular gold-ruby, worrying for the young queen. The sight of the fighting dragons was incredibly hard to stomach.. All because of that green dragon.
For the first time in the whole hatching, the black male, the first one to hatch spoke. He scolded his deformed brother and successfully stopped the fighting.. surprisingly so. The fighting hatchlings would listen to their brother rather than their mother? How strange... This clutch, this clutch was very different. The mutated green Invidiath slithered away from his higher-ranking brethren, apparently to find his rider. Ivy pitied whoever was meant for the-
MINE! IVYMINE!
Ivy's breath caught in her throat. This was to be her dragon? The beautiful hatchlings she had imagined for herself over and over again... and what picked her was a deformed killer. At first she was so overwhelmed with surprise, she actually flopped back onto her butt, mouth hanging open. Mine thinks Invidiath is pretty, right? Better then them, yes? Yes! the newly hatched green exclaimed, he appeared to have both sets of parts. How... interesting. Ivy gulped as Invidiath took hold of her robes with his ichor coated teeth. Ivy was about to shove him away and run for the hills when the rainbow of Impression appeared in both her and Invidiath. It was the best feeling she had ever come to know before, and any speculation on the dragon's looks or the way it carried itself were dismissed. Ivy was His and Invidiath was hers. Ivy reached out to touch a finger to one green head knob. What the heck had she been thinking? This dragon was amazing! "Of course I do, Invy." the girl said lovingly.
IvyMine, oh Mine that scuff has taken it out of me. Might we get something to cover this wound?
"Oh no, Invy. Of course we can."
An audible grumble escaped the green dragon's belly, causing a small impish smile to cross Invidiath's face and a warm smile to spread over Ivy's. How could she ever have thought this darling beb was ugly? Wiping a bit of ichor off of her bonded's nose (it probably wasn't his), the girl smiled. No longer a candidate. She had a dragon. She was bonded. "We can also get you something to eat, Invidiath." No, Mine, I like it when you call me Invy. Invidiath is what my horrible sibling call me.. I like being your Invy. the hatchling said, still broadcasting to all of the other candidates. Maybe he needed time to figure out how to interact with Ivy's mind solely.
Ivy smiled, looking down at her hatchling. "Of course, Invy."
- - -
Ivy and Invidiath had received many a gasp and point as they returned to the sands, it hadn't taken long to clean and bandage the shallow bite marks on her bonded's forearm, and she would get it treated more thoroughly after the hatching was over. Ivy wanted to see who got their bebs. She had on her hip a small package of meat that was gradually feeding Invy, having to remind him every other time to be gentle with her fingers.. he couldn't help it. She was still wearing her white candidate robe, having not wanted to waste any time getting comfortable while there were still bebs to hatch. She murmured quietly to Ividiath, one palm resting on the base of his neck. It was one of the only areas not covered in small bubbles.
She followed the other bonded's example and lead him to the stands, smiling widely at Yellow and Kitty. "Friends, meet Invy. Invy, meet Kitty and Yellow." she said gesturing towards the two and their dragons. Invidiath marched in front of His and sat, tail swaying slowly. The two were not coming near his bonded. He looked at them each, not even paying attention to his impressed siblings at the moment. If these two try to touch you I will leap. he growled, now to Ivy's mind and Ivy's mind alone. His tutted at him and shrugged, maybe he was feeling just a little protective. He would relax towards others soon, right?

Yoko was a bit sickened by the hatching of the twins. That poor deformed black dragon. She wanted to hope it would impress, but what kind of life would it have if it didn't get better?
The Green that had hatched started a fight. This clutch was awfully violent. But Yoko stuck around all the same. Somehow, she figured that Green would go to Mousy, but she was surprised that it impressed to Ivy. The irony of the name struck her.
Anyway, she went on watching the other somewhat injured Dragonets. There sure were a lot of them.

[ short post, but i'm saving my words for nano~ ]
When the deformed green dragon Impressed to Ivy, Izzie breathed a sigh of relief. She could have gotten used to its... unusual appearance, but that voice was just too much. The sound made her dizzy every time she heard it. Meanwhile, the Ruby-Gold and Platinum sat next to the injured black dragonet from the Temperance Egg, which Izzie found, to her horror, was not moving.
Many of the other candidates were watching the two closely, probably hoping that one of the lovely dragonets would Impress to them. Instead, Izzie watched the unhatched eggs, a few of which were shaking again now that their sibling Invidiath was gone. So far, this hatching had been marred by a lot of unfortunate events; first, the brown dragonet from the Sloth Egg had turned out to be dead, then several of the hatchlings attacked each other, and now another dragonet had died in the fight. She hoped the other eggs would be okay...
It crossed her mind that the number of eggs left was dwindling. But there must be a dragon in the group for her, right?

and the The Hawk's Eye Dragon all squished together like, and, was it not for the kreen they made and the miserable sight in front of them, it would have been cute. But, there was a dead dragon in front of them and, they both were kreening so, no, in retrospect, it was not cute. But, it could have been. Death is a sad thing, yes but, life does go on and, as its siblings mourned The Chastity Egg shook, and shook, and shook. It had been cracked since Greedlingth's hatching but, as of yet, had not broken through fully. But, if it's shaking and rolling was any idication, it would most likely hatch soon. And hatch it did. Suddenly, while the egg still shook, the top of the egg shattered, long white claws poking out into the open air. The claws, once hitting open air, began to claw and tear away at the sides of the egg, until there was nothing left but shards. A dark black hatchling was the cause for this destruction, her eyes narrowing as she surveyed the area. No, no, no...Confusion etched into the dragonet's voice, the slender back stepped out from the remains of her egg, looking around. Her eyes settled on the remains of The Greed Egg and, with a hiss, she whirled around. Lingth? Linngggth!?The Unrequited Guard Dragon's tail lashed out angrily, her eyes searching the sands for another figure. No such luck. Finally, heaving a sigh, the black turned around, rushing forward to a female up front. Yoko! YokoMine! YokoMine, take me to Lingth! Please, your Ranfanth needs to find him! [/ul] - Where are the people that accuse me? The ones who beat me down and bruise me They hide just out if sight Can't face me in the light They'll return but I'll be stronger - Black Ranfanth“The Unrequited Guard Dragon”Impresses To: Yoko Code: 110F0F, 7A1010 Appearance:While most of the dragons from this clutch look more like their father, Amestristh, you can easily see Xingth within Ranfanth. Long and lithe, the black has the build of a slender feline. She, unlike most dragons, will feel much more at home on the ground, rather then in the sky. With long, narrow wings and slender legs, Ranfanth is built for speed, not for power. She'll be a pretty thing, once full grown, she already is.
Inky black in color, the dragon sports a jet black marking on the sail of her right wing, the 'Yin' out of 'Yin' and 'Yang'. It's a startling contrasts to her black hide, which is strange, seeing as the mark itself is black. Besides black, Ranfanth has two more colors that dot her hide. The first is dark maroon splatters, like paint, that grace around her eyes and then stretch from her headknobs downwards. Lastly, she has white legs, like the white boots cats sometimes sport. Her nose and muzzle is the same white color and, it stretches downwards onto her chest. Finally, her tail is fully white with darker gray-white stripes going across it. She's a pretty little thing, that's for sure.Mind Voice:Quiet, soft, and scratchy, as if Ranfanth isn't use to speaking so much. It's stern but, there's a soft, gentle tone to it, underneath it all. Ranfanth's voice is nice, perhaps not as nice as some of her siblings but, it's nice enough. Like the crunch of fallen leaves beneath a boot, or the sound of a scraping against a rock. It's nice to listen to, though, you can tell she'd do anything if someone, you don't know who, asked her to. Personality:Loyal, Dedicated, Easily Flustered, Fierce, Not easily angered, Reckless when involving Lingth

Late, late, late.
Always late.
Spike dashed into the sands and nearly collapsed from the run. Fat girls don't run! Idiots. She looked around, panting. Oh, no. She had already missed a few of the eggs! Groaning, she shook her head and decided to give up on the staring at the eggs. She was just plain frustrated. Walking to a group of people, she panted out a welcome. ”Hedgie,” she said with a half energetic smile. ”I didn’t see you last time. Glad you showed up.” Shaking herself slightly, she looked at the group. Kitty- already Impressed! Damn lucky girl- with a black-red dragon at her side. (A chimeric!? How jealous Spikey knew she was gonna be.) And there was Icy too, unImpressed like her. At least she wasn’t alone. Yellow and Ivy- wait, was that a green following Ivy?
Dammit!
Izzie was there at least, also unImpressed. And Yoko. Wait, she had just Impressed. Spikey frowned and watched jealously as her friend was gifted with that pretty black. (jealous!) She looked over her shoulder and- oh, there was Mousy too. And Spore! Though late like her. Ha! See? She wasn’t alone. Turning back to Hedgie, she grinned again, feeling better. ”I’m glad to see you! I missed you around the sands.” Without much thought to her strength, she slugged what she thought was a light hit at Hedgie’s arm before turning back. While examining what was on the sands, she felt ready to pee herself like an excited dog. ’Calm! Calm yourself!’
Looking back, she watched the dragons. Why… a gold-ruby mix! Her tongue flashed out to lick her lips as she stared at it. She loved it! She wanted it. But that’d be wrong. Kicking the sand some, she glanced on at the Platinum and then the dead brown. Unlike some, she was unfazed by this. She knew it happened plenty of times. Sure, it was sad to see it happen but… it happened. There was nothing simpler to explain. She sighed and looked at Hedgie again. ”Not a good start, huh?”

Ack, why why why? The twelve year old female stood in the sands, her hazel gaze watching as most of the Dragons had Impressed, and she still hadn't have one take a look at her. Was it her reason to favor one of the hatched ones, more or less the Hawk's Eye Dragon? Icy thought it was the pattern that really got to her, and better yet, with most of the Canidates leaving with their own bebs, she could focus on the rest of the clutch. She grinned slyly at the thought.
