I want something else, to get me through this, ~Semi-charmed kind of life~ "Like, hurry up Thistleheart! They prey's gonna be all gone if you're that slow!" The laughter of a WindClan tom rang out over the moor, the owner of the voice racing up the nearest hill and pausing at the top to catch his breath. As he panted with exhaustion that the sprint here had caused, his breath came out in puffs. It was cold, freezing actually, but then again it was leaf bare, so it would be weird if it wasn't cold. The tom shivered a bit but still grinned as he looked out over the territory. From up here he could see everything; the stretches of barren land that bore tall grass in greenleaf, a stream that flowed down from the Moonpool to the lake, and the forest that stood to the north that made him realize just how far he had run. They were nearing the border with ThunderClan, not that it mattered to him since that wasn't his destination today. "Seriously! Are you still, like, asleep or something?" He turned a bit then, looking back in the direction he had came, searching for the familiar brown pelt of his friend. This morning had been an unusual one; he had actually woken up before Thistleheart had. Normally Flamewing was the one who insisted on sleeping in, because he did enjoy his sleep and he was never in any hurry to actually get up and patrol or whatever it was he was supposed to do. He had woken Thistleheart up this morning, the fact that he had been spending- according to Flamewing- totally way too much time on warrior duties not something he approved of, and demanded that they go hunting together. Actually, hunting really wasn't what he had in mind for them to be doing, but he didn't tell Thistleheart that. Flamewing had been slacking on warrior duties himself lately, and he was sure that Redfang was going to come after him some time soon, but he wasn't concerned about that. He was more concerned with spending time with his best friend, something he hadn't gotten to do too often lately. And that definitely wasn't cool. With any luck he could get Thistleheart to have some fun, at least for a little while, before they had to go back to camp and carry on with warrior things. Ugh, that was so boring.[/blockquote] Baby I want something else I'm not listening when you say Good-bye~ OoC;; So they could hang out and hunt for a bit, then maybe wander further toward the TC border and then the TC cats come in? 83

"I'm coming, I'm coming!" The dark tom's voice rang out in response to his friend's exclaim, the WindClan warrior attempting at breaking out in a dash. Yet, the cold had made him seem a bit slower than normal. Heck, he woke up later than Flamewing this morning! That usually never happened! His fur stood on end, the snow crunching under his paws, then getting wedged between the hairs between his pads. His gaze wavered from where he was currently running, as he could pretty much see everything there was. To his right was the Moonpool stream, and to his left was... well, that was ThunderClan territory, and it held the Clan in its boundaries. Eh, wait, where were they going again? Once he had somewhat caught up to the ginger tom, he had heard the small, teasing taunts. " Asleep? No way!" He shouted in his response, a grin flashing across his face. This was actually becoming a nuisance, with Flamewing trying to keep him away from his warrior duties and all that. Oh well, he thought. Might as well just do what he says for the day, then actually patrol or something tomorrow. Whatever the case may be, he was finally away from Redfang and his orders, and being with his best friend. Heck, it would probably do him some good to be a bit bad for the morning. As the ginger tom trailed ahead a bit more, he attempted at keeping pace with his more lithe companion, which wasn't exactly easy. He was a bit larger than Flamewing, and even though he is small, he isn't very thin, and instead, he has a bit of bulk to his build. He wasn't any ordinary WindClanner either, for he has been in a nearly death-sentencing position, even though he did pull though. Yet, he was left with his scars on his back, a reminder of that day in his youth. " So Flamewing," He began, almost as soon as he caught up to the ginger tom. " Were we actually going to hunt, or was there something else you had planned?" His gaze rested upon the other tom's fur, which was short like his, and wondered if he was freezing his tail off. Well, that would be hilarious if Thistleheart even found out that he was. Ooc: Sure thing. 83 That sounds pretty good. *plans on how angry either Ivy or Swallow would get*

"Well it's about time you caught up! Come on!" Flamewing grinned back at the other tom, grateful that he had come up with this idea. This was so much more fun than warrior duties after all. There were lots of other warriors who patrolled and stuff, so what was wrong with taking a fun break every now and then? Leading the way further toward the edge of the territory, he was completely happy as he trotted along. If he had been aware of the tom's other question, he didn't show it, because as soon as they started walking he started gushing out whatever came to his mind.
"So the other day I heard that, like, Lizardheart and Buzzardfang totally started fighting. Like, they legit went at each other! Isn't that, like, so weird? I mean they never hated each other before, so I don't get it." Flamewing chatted on, gleefully gushing all of the Clan's recent gossip. Of course, Thistleheart probably didn't care for gossip or knowing who was currently flirting with who, but he didn't mind. Thistleheart was a great listener and he needed someone to tell this stuff to! "Oh! And you know how Heathpaw became an apprentice recently? I heard that, like, Redfang has been acting weird. Like, checking up on his training a lot. More than normal. I think that-"
A sudden idea occurred to him and he cut short, a brief smirk sliding over his face. It disappeared though, for he let out a sudden, convincing gasp. "OHMYGAWD, LIKE, WHAT IS THAT?!"
There was nothing there. But Flamewing still stared out toward the forest until he was sure that Thistleheart was distracted by whatever he thought the ginger tom had seen. Flamewing then slid away from Thistleheart and pounced on him from behind, wrestling his friend to the ground. "Hah! Got you~!"

Shaking his head, the younger warrior attempted at clearing his mind of anything Redfang, who would skin his pelt if he knew that Thistleheart was out here, and especially not hunting or patrolling. Well, this could be considered as a patrol, right? They were close to the ThunderClan border, the forest area to be precise. Nothing should be wrong with it, correct? Yes! "Of course I caught up. Cold just held me back a bit." He muttered modestly, a brightened look in his eyes.
As the other tom began with his usual gossip that would normally occur every other day, or each morning if he was consistant, his mind wavered to the kits in the nursery. Eaglekit, Leopardkit, Beechkit, Briarkit, and... what was the last kit's name? Oh great, he forgot already. "Yeah, I've heard and saw." He stopped when the ginger warrior had quit in his own pawsteps, then exclaiming that he heard a noise.
Now, he didn't hear anything, but maybe his friend had sensed something that he didn't. That seemed unlikely, yet considering his speed this morning, the more petite tom might be more alert than he was. "Wha-" He broke off as he was caught off guard by none other than Flamewing, ramming into him and somewhat placing him on his side.
He batted a paw near the other tom's ear, hoping it would, at least, just hit it. "What was that for?" He questioned, though his voice was just as light as it was before, except with a small, blunt addition to the tone. To be honest, he didn't know what was happening at all. So why did he actually enjoy it?

He'd caught him off guard! He knew that distraction would do the trick! Flamewing laughed as he managed to easily bowl the other tom over, despite being smaller. Just because he was small didn't mean he wasn't strong! Anyone who thought otherwise would sorely be mistaken. "Hahaha!" He taunted, his paws on Thistleheart's shoulders as he pinned the brown warrior down, looking and feeling quite pleased with himself. He ducked his head out of the way as Thistleheart pawed at him, managing to avoid most of the hit except for a cuff on the tip of his ear. His friend wasn't really mad, he could tell. They used to play like this all the time when they were kits, and still did these days, after all.
"I totally wanted to see how you would react, duh." Flamewing smirked at him, his tail lashing eagerly. "You so weren't paying attention, you made it too easy." Now, what would he do? Try to kick him off or reply with some smart comment? Or both? The ginger tom waited, smug look glued to his face.

Woah, wait a second. That was a distraction for him to let go of his guard? What in the name of StarClan..? His dark green eyes glanced from where his paw was, flailing through air, directly into his friend's eyes, lit with amusement. "What was that for!" He repeated, though it didn't have the same questioning tone that it did before. In fact, it was actually cheerful. For the first time in moons, he technically didn't care what others had to say. He was just glad to be out in the snow with Flamewing.
"You wanted to see how I reacted?" He questioned, rolling to his paws, attempting at sliding out from where he was pinned. "Wow, Flamewing. I wasn't paying attention, so you surprise-tackled me?" He caught the smug expression on the other tom's face, which made the brown tom bristle, attempting to seem, even at the least, a bit threatening. It was obvious that the tom meant no harm to the smaller warrior, yet he just wanted to see something. Eh, whatever. Thistleheart was just pleased that this was something else to do.

Flamewing grinned more as Thistleheart tried to hit him, smug in the fact that the other tom got only a few light swipes in while Flamewing was still effectively pinning him down. Was that all he was going to do? No sneaky move to throw him off? After waiting a few more moments he finally released Thistleheart, stepping away and shaking his pelt out to fix the stray pieces of fur that had likely been messed up in his surprise attack. "Like, yeah!" He answered, turning to Thistleheart once more, "You totally didn't see it coming! I expected more, so you must have been, like, distracted."
Flamewing shivered, the cold getting to him once more, but ignored it and went on, "Anyway, you've been spending too much time on boring things and you need to, like, relax a little. So what do you say? We should totally have a fun time without, like, worrying about warrior stuff." He grinned again, not about to accept Thistleheart declining. If he did, he would make him take this time off anyway. They needed to spend more time together, after all.

Technically, he really didn't want to 'throw' his companion off of him, but just to allow the brown tom to get back to his paws. Which, amazingly enough, the ginger warrior had released him, and in that moment that he was shaking himself, Thistleheart had gotten back on his paws, running his tongue over his paw. Yeah, he totally knew that was coming toward him, though honestly, the question of why flashed through his mind. He noted the other tom's words, which made him seem slightly hurt. "Well, I suppose I was a bit off guard..." He muttered modestly, his tail flicking twice in mock annoyance. Actually, that wasn't fake, the annoyance part, anyway.
His eyes cast over the smaller cat, even if the size difference wasn't by much, and just barely noticed a shiver. It was obvious that the tom had ignored it, for he was continuing on. The question had surprised him, for he was actually thinking that there was not much more to this than the tackle. Giving an inward groan, though not trying to show it, he gave a brisk nod, and if that was possible, he flashed a grin. "Not like I have much choice anyway. So, what did you have planned other than that?" He concurred, trying to come up with a few possibilities. 'Trying to hunt on another Clan's territory. Maybe. He summarized, then quitting in his thoughts, waiting for Flamewing to give his answer in his normal Flamewing-y tone.

"I'm so glad you asked, Thistleheart," Flamewing said, his grin growing wider if that was even possible. He was glad that Thistleheart had agreed with his plan, because it wouldn't have mattered if he hadn't but this just made it easier. "because we're totally not going to be hunting, if that's what you're thinking." Flicking his tail, he glanced over the territory as he had moments ago, from the lake to the vast open hills and to the forest near ThunderClan's territory. What was something fun they could do, he wondered? Simple games of chase didn't entertain them as much as it had when they were kits or even apprentices.
"How about you, like, guess. If you're right then I'll totally, like, let you have first choice from the fresh-kill pile tonight." He started walking then, heading in the direction of the forest though not consciously. His paws carried him toward the border with ThunderClan, although his mind still pondered possible ideas. "You are?" The instant that the ginger tom had, in his mind, complimented him on that small topic, the question came, in such a kit-like way at that. Blinking about three times, he shook his head, muttering under his breath, "I already knew that we weren't going hunting..." It wasn't long before he noticed, just barely, that Flamewing was carrying himself through the forest thicket once again, this time in the direction of ThunderClan territory. Oh StarClan...
"I'll do anything except go into ThunderClan's territory, if that's what you're thinking," He was actually serious this time, keeping his paws steady on the earth, his claws digging into the soil in stress. Why did his best friend have to act this way on purpose? Why couldn't he be more like an actual warrior, one that was not a complainer, and one who just wasn't so feminine like...? Never mind that last part, but why couldn't the supposed warrior technically act like one? They weren't kits, and they weren't apprentices. So why were they acting like them now..?
(( So totally not late. ;; *shot* Also, TC cat time? 8o ))

.:. Flamewing .:. Anything but ordinary "Heeeyyyy. Like, great idea, Thistleheart!" Flamewing stopped in his tracks, which hadn't been that many since they'd first started walking, and turned around to grin at his friend. "I knew it'd be a good idea to, like, let you come up with something!" Of course he wouldn't admit that he hadn't had any ideas himself, although it was probably rather obvious by now. Anyway, the ginger tom turned to bound off again toward the forest until he noticed that Thistleheart was staying right where he was. Tilting his head slightly in confusion, he looked back at Thistleheart with a look almost of irritation.
"Don't just, like, stand there! Come on!" He urged, not wanting the other tom to bail out just because they were approaching another Clan's land. They didn't have to actually go into ThunderClan territory, although that would ruin a lot of the fun of it... "If you're just gonna, like, stay there, then I'll go by myself. Catch me of you want to!" With that said, and a mischevious grin on his face, the small tom took off, sprinting toward the ThunderClan border as fast as his legs would take him and hoping Thistleheart would, in fact, follow him. Because if he didn't that would totally suck.
Bramblepelt
Why did he have to do this again? ...Oh, right, to check on the borders. Sigh. Patrolling was alright sometimes, especially when there were she-cats to enjoy his company. (Namely Swallowpaw, in this case. It didn't matter that she was still an apprentice, he could still enjoy his charm.) However, it was still boring and in his opinion, although it was necessary, he would have much preferred staying at camp or at least hunting. Ah well though, it's best to take full advantage of a situation whenever one is presented, and so Bramblepelt was decidedly cheery today, despite the cold and the snow. It was all a matter of making the most of the situation.
"...And you wouldn't believe the size of the rabbit! It was- I swear on StarClan- twice my size! I had inched up close to it, as silent as could be. I got ready, and then I pounced on it! I had it in my claws, the thing was almost dead, but then it got away! I couldn't believe it!"
He looked to the two cats patrolling with him, eyes wide as he finished the climax of his story. Alright, so maybe it was a tiny bit exaggerated, but that just helped build up the suspense! "I had almost caught it, and if I had I swear it would have fed the entire Clan. The she-cats would get first dibs, though," Bramblepelt added, with a wink in Swallowpaw's direction.
Suddenly, the tom stopped, nose and ears trained in the direction of WindClan's territory. "Did you hear that?" Now starkly different from the cheery tom he had been before, he was all seriousness as he extended his senses into the neighboring Clan's territory. The scent of WindClan was strong from where they stood near the border, and he could hear voices nearby as well. "It sounds like WindClan cats." The tabby stayed standing where he was, not moving as he tried to hear and smell more. The patrol was at last interesting.

Thistleheart
Always the victim... "What, wait, no!" He stood there, right on the moor-like ground like a dumbstruck rabbit, watching as his companion went up ahead, and more dangerously, the ThunderClan border. What if there were ThunderClan cats prowling the border at this time? Great StarClan, why did he ever agree to coming along anyway..? " N-no way am I going into enemy territory's land, Flamewing. I-i just can't do it!" If he wasn't a cat, therefore not able to do this, he would have been in a dark blush, barely able to hold onto the other's excitement. He blinked a few times in his direction, noticing the tilt of the ginger tom's head. What he wasn't prepared for, however, for the single threat (in his mind) of him just going off by himself. H-he couldn't do such a thing. Great StarClan, he could never do such a stupid thing! He stared from a distance as he noticed that the ginger tom was not joking, at all. " D-don't do it Flamewing! I can't just go an-" Knowing that the other probably couldn't hear his pleas, and after a second of thinking, Thistleheart chased after him, determination suddenly coming into his mind. He couldn't let Flamewing get into trouble for something that happened to be his idea, no matter how that happened in the first place... Swallowpaw & Ivyclaw No one listens to us Dear StarClan, why'd she have to do this again? Oh, right, borders, patrol, so on and so forth. She gave quite a low sigh, one that could barely be heard, as she felt her paws going slightly numb from the snow. Ah, yes, it was in the heart of leaf-bare, wasn't it now? Snow was everywhere, although she wished that was the same with the prey. Unfortunately, the vermin that usually filled the Clan cats' stomachs were in hiding. Deep hiding at that.
"Oh wow, really? I bet you could have caught that stupid rabbit as well. It should have been our prey." Of course she really didn't listen to Bramblepelt go on and on about some stupid piece of prey, even if it was beginning to make her stomach growl. Swallowpaw wasn't the type for that kind of story; she liked adventure types, ones with a hero at the end, so on and- She stopped in her paces, then realizing that what the tom had said had included her as well... She even caught the small wink in her direction, though she thought it was an eyetwitch, much like what her father was doing at that moment. Over protective tom... She thought to herself, rolling her eyes at the both of them, that is, until she caught the scent of WindClan off the tip of her tounge. " Wi-" She began, though abruptly cut off by -- who would have guessed -- Bramblepelt, asking if she heard anything at all. " 'Course I did hear something, genius. WindClan, isn't it?" She quiried, soon answered by Ivyclaw's rough mew. " That's right. Now, we should plan this out accordingly." The grey tabby blinked a few times, that is, before continuing on. " Perhaps the WindClan cats are just patrolling like we are. Leave them be then. If they come close to the border, we question them on why. Any questions with you two?" The tabby she-cat shook her head in reply, tilting her head to the side. Interesting strategy, she thought, but would it work? [/blockquote]

.:. Flamewing .:. Anything but ordinary Flamewing smirked to himself as he heard Thistleheart calling after him. He turned his head slightly to see the brown tabby trying to catch up and felt a smug pride take over. He knew that Thistleheart would come after him! He would never let Flamewing go into ThunderClan's territory on his own and, well, the two always did everything together. Slowing down a bit, but only slightly, he allowed the other tom just a tad more time to catch up to him before he turned his head around again, a gleeful look on his face.
"Pffft, Thistleheart, your face is, like, soooo funny right now!"
They were quickly gaining on ThunderClan's territory, and the stream separating the two Clans was soon only foxlengths away. Still in a full-on sprint, Flamewing had little time to slow down or reconsider what he was about to do. He had a clear jump and could leap right across the stream easily, and that was exactly what he did. As his paws touched the other side, a thrill went right through his pads and filled his entire body. Now they were having fun! Who cared if it was against the warrior code, as long as they weren't caught, it would be fine!
"Still can't catch up, Thistleheart? Hehehe~"
Bramblepelt
And just like that, his serious moment had disappeared. Bramblepelt had listened to what Ivyclaw said, (although barely) and was actually considering listening to his instructions when suddenly the racket of a young warrior bounding toward their territory had him looking up to investigate and soon forgetting about what the other tom said. The WindClan cat was headed straight for the border- with a second warrior behind him- and from the looks of it they weren't stopping any time soon.
"Well Ivyclaw, it looks like you spoke a bit too late, hmmm? Ha ha!" Bramblepelt barked out as soon as he saw the WindClan cat's paws land on their side of the border. "I suppose we better go and talk to them, then!" Oh, how fun this day was suddenly turning out to be. It seemed there were no she-cats in that tiny WindClan patrol for him to charm, but that was no matter. He could still have some fun with them if he had a say in it!
Padding forward without waiting for the other two cats in his company, Bramblepelt went on ahead and cut off the ginger tom's path as he began his dash into ThunderClan's territory, effectively sending the smaller tom into a skidding halt. Not quick enough, though, for he collided with the larger ThunderClan tom and then tumbled backward into the snow rather ungracefully. "I would watch where you're going if I were you!" Bramblepelt laughed again, "Hit me any harder and you might have bruised the one and only Bramblepelt! Which would be a shame, because my Clan needs me around, you see,"
Bramblepelt chucked as the now disoriented WindClan cat got to his feet and gasped, turning a surprisingly fierce glare on the larger tom. "Hey! You didn't have to just, like, jump in front of me, ya know!" All in all Bramblepelt wasn't very intimidated, but it was an impressive try. Too bad he could easily outmatch both him and his friend. Oh well.[/blockquote]
