The Library Clutch!
The Musician Egg;;
The largest egg of the Clutch, the Musician Egg first gives off a friendly sort of personality, seeming open to most things (particularly music), but, in reality, is rather irritable, and this irritability is mostly directed upon the the Dignity egg and the Loud egg. It seems friendliest with the Artist and Eccentric eggs, although it is also friendly with the tiny Wisdom egg and the Shy egg. While this egg is large, there is very little detail spared on its shell: the base for the shell is a very deep red, with black and very deep brown swirls, and when I say that this egg is large, I mean that it is large. It's much bigger, particularly, than the Eccentric egg which occasionally leans on it, and than the Artist egg: it's about the same size as the Loud and Dignity eggs, but definitely bigger than them. While this egg seems pleasant and friendly at first, though, its friendlyness rapidly dwindles and eventually this egg becomes very stormy, unless it is around music. It seems to feel emotions much more strongly than many of the other eggs, and, as a result, its anger is probably the most frightening. Its true passion is music, and it can pick out a theme from a group of songs with the greatest of ease, and is always thinking about music. If it is irritated, it will always lash out in one way or another, no matter who happens to be around. Then again, to potential candidates who don't seem like an insult to it, The Musician Egg is very friendly, and doesn't seem like such a fierce, imposing creature. This egg also appears to dislike being touched, which is strange. All to their own, though, I suppose.
The Wisdom Egg;;
The Wisdom Egg just happens to be the smallest member of the clutch, and, because it frequently leans on the Musician Egg, it looks even smaller than it really is. But the tiny Wisdom Egg is a very clever egg; while not musically (that's the Musician Egg) it is clever with other things: it knows things that many of its siblings don't know, and, because it is so friendly with the Musician Egg, it also knows rather a lot about music, getting most of this knowledge from what the Musician Egg tells it, although it finds some things out for itself. This egg is also an extremely cheerful egg, which is strange, since it is leaning on the grumpy Musician Egg, but its good cheer and happiness sometimes rub off on the Musician Egg, and, just for a second, the Musician Egg will be very happy. Towards potential candidates, this egg is dignified and calm, but always chirpy and happy at the same time. On top of all of these qualities, this egg is very silly. It might make a stupid joke or deliberately do something stupid when one of its clutch-mates is in a bad mood, and it usually does cheer them up. Usually, though. Sometimes the Musician Egg with brush it off. In colouration, this egg is a dark shade of red, with a medium-dark blue fountain-like pattern splitting its shell in to ten sections. Each section is filled with dull-blue spots. This egg seems to like pretty much all of the other eggs: it doesn't quite seem to understand why the Musician Egg doesn't like the Loud Egg, and finds the Loud Egg's constant vying for attention to be very humourous. Then again, it is the youngest egg, and doesn't actually know how annoying the Loud Egg can be. In addition to all of this, the Musician Egg is also quite violent, and it despises all apart from those closest to it. Although they sometimes argue, all the same.
The Eccentric Egg;;
The Eccentric Egg is just that: eccentric. It's a relatively small egg, often to be found near to or leaning upon the Musician Egg, and its colouration is quite... special. The base is a very pale, creamy yellow, with brighter yellow stripes spattered over the shell, and orange spots, in neat rows, spread over the paler bits of shell, so that the pale yellow is only visible if you are looking for it, or if you know it's there. The eccentric egg is pretty crazy: if it isn't play-fighting with the Shy Egg, watching the Artist Egg or messing with the Musician Egg, it will be just being crazy and hyper, which is quite entertaining and funny. This egg, while so tiny, is still fierce and defensive, and will always, always defend its clutchmates, no matter what. Particularly the younger Musician Egg, and will then threaten the Loud Egg until it stops annoying the Musician Egg. It also finds the Dignity Egg to be a major irritatant, which is a quality it shares with the Musician Egg, but, strangely enough, not the Artist Egg. On that note, the Artist Egg is probably its favourite of its clutch-mates, other than the Musician Egg. And the Shy Egg, although the Shy Egg sometimes freaks it out a bit. Then eccentric egg is, however, extremely hard-working, although it is somewhat afraid of blood. It is, despite being one of the smallest members of the clutch, a distinctly frightening egg: it radiates authority; pure authourity; and has a definite control over the other members of its clutch.
The Artist Egg;;
The artist egg is just that: an artist. It is also the longest member of the clutch, but also the thinnest, and is about the same height (if stood on its end) as the Musician Egg. The egg has a dark brown base-coat, with black spots spread over the shell's surface, fading to a dark brown towards the egg's centre. There are red arrowhead-shaped stripes over the shell, fitting in rather well with the rest of the clutch (they, too, are brightly-coloured, although none more so than the Hyper Egg), although not with anything else. Despite this, the Artist Egg is the least attention-grabbing of all the Clutch. The Artist Egg is probably the calmest of the clutch; it doesn't actually want attention, it just wants to be with its sisters, but it doesn't mind the attention. Doesn't relish it, but doesn't object. It's just pleasantly open to it, and just acts pleasant to all candidates. It is a nice balance of things: it can be violent and firey like the Musican Egg, quiet and resevred like the Shy Egg, or it can be chirpy like the Wisdom Egg. It is usually reserved but happy, though, although it is something of a hypochondriac, believing itself to always be ill. Well, it usually is, so no-one's arguing. Particularly not the Eccentric Egg. This is also the most artistic member of the Library Clutch, and it loves to think about art: very often a candidate who comes and touches it will have knocked it out of its thoughts about art, and it won't be so pleased. That won't last for very long, though, because the Eccentric Egg will tell it to buck up now, or get in to big trouble. It always chooses to buck up, and will be very open to the candidate. Or else.
The Shy Egg;;
The Shy Egg is just that: shy. If you can get it to come "out of its shell", as it were, though, it is probably the most cheerful of the clutch. There's just the job of actually getting that to happen, because it's really difficult: the dragon in this egg is an obvious Introvert; she prefers to have as little company as possible (aside from the other members of her side of the clutch), but she's still a sweet dragon. The Musician Egg is her closest friend, it would seem. She often annoys the Eccentric Egg, which the Eccentric Egg, to put it bluntly, despises. It's sort-of funny, but it can be irritating, and the two eggs are really very close friends, ignoring the fake "fighting". It's quite cute, really. The largest proportion of the egg's shell is a brownish-orange, almost sienna, with a paler-orange swirling design over the shell, like a snail's shell. Filling in the swirl is a deeper brown. This egg is the third biggest of the Clutch. To potential Riders, the Shy Egg acts friendly and kind, but there's still that incessant anxiousness, which is very noticeable. It's quite sweet. All in all, the Shy Egg is probably the most stable of the Clutch, particularly more so than the irritable Musician Egg, or the somewhat-crazy Hyper Egg. Although it still isn't completely normal: as they say, "You don'ot have to be mad to work here, but it certainly helps!" That comment has never been more relevant than to this Clutch.
The Hyper Egg;;
Ah, the Hyper Egg. Yes, this egg does pretty much what its name suggests: it is hyper. And when I say hyper, I mean really, really hyper. It will always bounce about like a lunatic when any potential candidates are near, trying to draw attention to the clutch (as if that really needs to be done, as it's a pretty bright-coloured clutch: all blues and purples and reds and oranges and yellows. And some browns, and a bit of black), and it pretty much always succeeds. Sitting a little way away from the rest of the eggs, alongside the Dignity Egg, this egg radiates a happy enthusiasm that none of the other eggs really have: while the Wisdom egg is cheerful, the Hyper Egg will just become your friend, no matter what. It just glomps psychologically on to you naturally, and is determined not to let go. It doesn't dislike the Musician Egg - it rather likes in grumpy sibling, actually - but the Musician Egg is somewhat suspicious of it. It's as though there was a schism between the two in the past... Leaving your hand on this egg for a second, poteential candidates will notice that it actually rather dislikes the Dignity Egg, just hanging around it because none of the others like it. Particularly the Musician Egg. It is rather selfless, and is inclined to spinelessness - it just goes along with the Dignity Egg's mindless bullying of the Musician Egg because it just doesn't know how to say 'no', which is its most major shortcoming. Then again, it's still a happy egg, which makes up for this shortcoming, right? ... Right...?
The Dignity Egg;;
One of the smaller members of the Clutch, the Dignity Egg has a very elegant, clear looking shell: the base is a pure, clean snowy white, with pale orange markings on it, looking as though they are being viewed through slightly iffy windows, that desperately need to be cleaned. You know the sort. Anyway, the swirls form circles, and they are filled with a sienna-orange sort of colour. But don't be fooled by this egg's nice-looking shell: it is the most horrible member of the Clutch, pretty much. The Dignity Egg, to be blunt, takes "dignity" to a whole new level: it is stuck up, which is the reason it is away from the other eggs, not even touching the egg closest to it, the brightly-coloured Hyper Egg. They just dont touch. It's as if the Dignity Egg is worried that something will rub off on to it, although it isn't to be said that this egg is always so foul: it is capable of being nice, but it's just a matter of actually getting it to be nice to you, which is a very difficult task. But it's obvious from the way it's so close and friendly with the Hyper Egg that it can be kind. Just not to some of the other eggs - the Musician Egg, for example. The tension between these two siblings may be the most obvious thing in the whole Clutch, even more so than the Musician Egg's musical tendancies. Then again, like I keep assuring you all, it can be nice. The thing there is that it won't. It's capable of it, to the right Candidate, but it won't. As a result, potential Candidates usually get turned down - or put off by this egg's extreme snootiness. And who can blame them?
The Loud Egg;;
Noticing this egg will probably be the first thing you do, and that is because it is a bright, loud, attention-catching egg; annoyingly so, even. And, as a result, few of the other eggs really like it, and, really, who can blame them: indeed, the Musician Egg's hatered for the Loud Egg is greater than that for possibly anything. Then again, it can be a pretty annoying egg: when it isn't vying for attention from candidates, it's annoying the other eggs (particularly the Shy Egg, although 'even the Shy Egg' might be slightly more appropriate here, actually), but really always, always, always annoying the Musician Egg. It isn't that it's always trying to annoy the Musician Egg, it just is. And, like it suggests, this egg is loudly coloured, so that, even when it is perfectly silent (when it's upset, or pretending to be), it still radiates loudness. The base shell is bright, loud, shouty red, with stripes of a dark, sienna colour over the shell, and one flower-like shape in the centre of the shell. To any candidate that approaches it, the Loud Egg will be just generally be loud and shouty, and hope that will win them over. It usually won't, of course, but it just might some time or other. You just never know (well, the Loud Egg thinks it does, but that doesn't really matter).

[ Theme of Hatching: [x] ]
Nestled within the Hatching Sands beside their Ruby mother, Alzreth, a clutch of eight eggs sits. Since they were laid, the clutch has been deathly still, but, just today, as the sun started to creep over the horizon, painting the sky a silky purple, orange and blue, they started shaking, first the Hyper Egg and then the others. Alzreth knows exactly what to do; she sits, and waits for her mate to realize. She'll know when he knows, and then she'll let them know.
Far across the Weyr, a Black, by the name of Dazlyth, feels a tug at the back of his mind, and he knows. He knows that his children are hatching.
He gets up, impatient.
It has begun.
Mousy was not best pleased at this awakening - more to say, she wouldn't be if it wasn't a hatching. She jumps up, excited, and pulls on her white Candidate's robe, shrugging off her black pajama jacket before she does so (it would look weird if she didn't), and gets up, ready to run.
She reaches the Hatching Sands first, and looks over the eggs while she catches her breath. Wow. The Clutch was a strange-looking one, that was for sure. But they were interesting too.
All Clutches were, but something about this one seemed strangely interesting...
The Library Clutch was hatching.
