Lizardheart If you are afraid to die, you have already died Lizardheart sat on the end of the Halfbridge. She sighed and gazed out over the water. The cold leaf-bare wind was whipping it up into a frenzy. It was also bringing clouds. She cast an eye to the heavens. Did those clouds bring snow? She wondered why the snow came in the winter, and not in the summer. What was snow anyway? She sighed and curled her tail around her paws. Then the answer to her question about the clouds came in the form of a single white flake landing on her nose. She shook it off and sighed. So it seemed that Leaf bare had truly begun. It would be a hard life now. And with snow coming so early, would it be a particularly bitter leaf bare? She didn't want to dwell on it, that was for sure. Windclan had it hard enough as it was. They didn't need this. She gave a little sigh and shook herself as the snow started falling in earnest. Large drifting flakes, it was quite pretty to look at, if it didn't make things so hard for the clan. She stood and began walking back towards the clan territory, then stopped. She might as well do some hunting, maybe she'd try to meet up with one of the patrols. Maybe even Redfang was about. Her fur trembled a little at the thought of Redfang, he was quite handsome. And a very good deputy. However, while she waited for a patrol to happen by, or prey to appear she decided that she might as well have a little fun. She began stalking snowflakes, batting them out of midair and generally goofing off. This was something she would never do in the camp. She knew that the some cats would never let her hear the end of it.

Finally.
Buzzardfang had managed to escapethe camp at long last, and she had nothing at all to do: Creamflower was out hunting, her parents were cooing over Yellowkit and Greykit (as per usual) and the less said about Rednose and Bright-tail the better.
So, there was nothing for the bulky she-cat to do.
Nothing at all.
So she had come to the broken halfbridge to think. It was a good place for thinking, she reflected. Like her, it was completely useless for hunting, but, also like her, it was extremely good for thinking.
She padded up to the end of the Halfbridge, seeing the waters whipped up in to a frenzy. The leafbare winds were already starting to pick up; they'd probably have thick snow soon. She didn't really like snow. She always tripped over things (more than usual) in snow. She fell over a lot in any case.
She saw a flash of white and brown, and recognised Lizardheart, another warrior of the Clan. She delegated on whether or not she wanted to go and talk to the tabby she-cat, and quickly decided that she did want to. She padded over to Lizardheart.
"Hey."

(Mousy, Lizardheart is not brown nor is she a tabby) Lizardheart If you are afraid to die, you have already died Lizardheart stopped in the midst of an impressive backflip. She landed deftly and looked over at the other she-cat. "Oh, hullo." She mewed. The lithe pointed she-cat padded up and touched noses in greeting. She smiled a little. "So what brings you to the halfbridge?" She asked, wrapping her tail around her paws. She hoped the older cat hadn't seen her frolicking like a kit. Then again, if she had been questioned she could just say that it really was none of Buzzardfang's to do. "Nippy isn't it?" She asked, shifting her tail a bit. "Not that we'll be chest deep in snow any time soon. I'm sure this flurry will pass in no time. Though I wonder how my mum is fairing. She's not bred for this sort of weather. Maybe I should catch her a nice rabbit and bring back some fresh most for her. You know you can make a nest warmer if you put rabbit fur in it." She told Buzzardfang.

"I needed to escape," Buzzardfang replied, amber-brown eyes fixing on something which was seemingly invisible to all but her. She wasn't really looking at anything, but... "Clan life getting too much for me, you know?" she said, not realising that she had her claws out, as though expecting a fight.
That was always what happened when she thought about Rednose.
And Bright-tail.
And her family.
And everything.
"Plus, Mother keeps asking me to look after the kits - I mean, they're gorgeous at this age, just so sweet; all big eyes and 'you're my best fwend, Buzzardfang' - but I've got my whole life ahead of me, ya know! I really don't want to be sitting in the nursery all of my time. So, sneaking off was the only thing I could think to do," she added.
She paused for a second, smirking.
"I could ask the same of you, you know, Lizardheart," she said smoothly. "What brings you here?"
How like her.
She had always been good at turning awkward questions back on the cat who had asked them.
It was a useful skill.

Lizardheart If you are afraid to die, you have already died As the she-cat talked Lizardheart walked about to keep warm. She flicked her hears as she listened to the other she-cat moan and gripe about her life. Oh life was so hard and terrible. Gripe gripe, whine whine. What a selfish little she-fox. She wrinkled her nose. "So sneaking off was the only thing I could do"Lizardheart stopped in midstep. "The only thing you could do?" She said, pulling herself up to full height. "Now you listen here you self centred whiny little she-fox!" she snapped. "And you listen good, got it?" She took a deep breath. "Stop thinking about yourself all the time. Your mother has every right to ask you to mind her kits. Screw your "life" that you have plans for. In a clan you do what is needed to help the clan. And you are needed to help look after your younger siblings. Your mother bore you, she nursed you she raised you. You should show a little respect for that!" She paced around, circling the other cat. "Oh, look at you. You think you're a self reliant wonderful warrior. Well let me tell you something sister...." she snarled. "You are nothing more than a dishonourable, self centred whiny little she-fox who needs to remove her head from her rump!" As she spoke her voice got louder until she was yelling at the she-cat. "As for me? I'm not avoiding my duties unlike you. I was meditating." She snapped. "Now you get your whiny little tail back to camp before I claw it off and chase you there!"

OoC;; Please edit your post, Mystic. Lizardheart seems very ooc, but I'm more concerned with the swears. Cats don't use human terms or swears like 'ass'. And we'd rather not have language like that in posts in any case.

"Say... that... again..." Buzzardfang hissed, spinning around and glowering straight at Lizardheart. Her amber-brown eyes burned with a cold fire which she usually reserved for Bright-tail and Rednose. For the first time, she had bothered to open up to another Clanmate, but what did she get?
What. Did. She. Get?
Insulted.
And that just wasn't good.
"I...cannot take much MORE of this Clan!" she snarled fiercely, claws obviously out of their sheaths, kneading the hard ground.
Maddened by the pointed she-cat's reaction - driven by hate - she ran forwards, remembering all her mentor had taught her in that one second.
She knew it wasn't supposed to be against a Clanmate, but it didn't matter.
In her mind, Lizardheart was no Clanmate.
She was no-one.
Suddenly - unexpectedly - right by the lake - her paw fell on a wet patch. She felt herself star to slip, and tried to get a hold on something - anything - but it was two late. Because of her poor build and poorer co-ordination, she went tumbling, head first, in to the lake, hitting her head on the halfbridge, and, although she didn't realise it at the time, twisting her paw right the way around.
Oh, she would get in trouble for this, alright.

Lizardheart If you are afraid to die, you have already died Lizardheart deftly dodged the klutzy bigger cat and glared at her. "What the Dark Forest are you doing?" She snapped, then she saw the other cat go flying into the icy cold lake. Lizardheart let out a sigh and lifted her blue eyes to the grey sky and padded forward. Leaning over the edge she saw Buzzardfang. The she-cat had two choices. However only one was honourable. She sighed why did the mousebrained she-cat have to fall into the water? The brown pointed she-cat took a deep breath and leapt off the halfbridge and into the freezing lake. She let out a scream at the sudden drop in tempature. Then steeling herself she paddled over to Buzzardfang. "Come on Mousebrain." She groused as she grabbed the she-cat by the scruff and began swimming back to shore. She dragged the she-cat ashore. "You should get back to camp before you catch your death of blackcough." she said, and began walking away towards the camp with her ears flat against her skull. "Stupid she-fox." She muttered, stalking off. She had done the honourable thing, it didn't stop her from hating that dumb cat. She had come out here to think, not save self involved pieces of crowfood.
