Cause this ain’t where it’s at.
My friends will second that.
This probably wasn't the best idea...
In fact, it was probably Duskpaw's worst idea ever.
She had been told time and time again, as a kit and as an apprentice, that the twoleg nest on Thunderclan's territory was not a safe place to be for apprentices, and especially kits. but she was one hard-wired for trouble, with a mind hooked on adventure, and Cedarkit was much the same. It still confused the gray-pelted apprentice to no end how one little kit could look up to her like some idol. even Duskpaw had to admit that she was the worst kind of role model.
But anyway...there would always be more time for serious thought later, if she ever got around to it.
And I gotta admit, sometimes it’s pretty sad.
But it's like were our own brat pack.
Small storm-colored paws gained purchase on the half-gone fence surrounding the nest, crouched down as if preparing to be attacked. She stood to her full height, though it wasn't a very large height to begin with, and looked around with yellow-lantern eyes. Duskpaw itched to do something bigger than this, but until her best friend was an apprentice, they were limited to clan borders. Oh, how she dreamed of the tales they would one day tell, about adventures on the Windclan moors, or midnight fishing trips on Riverclan territory, sneaking and spying games deep within Shadowclan's pine forests.
Speaking of all the things she and Cedarkit would do...where was that kit? Duskpaw sat upon the fence as best as she could, for the spot she had pulled herself up at was more than just a bit rickety and unstable. Trying to look graceful while trying not to fall, she licked a paw, pulling it over her ears to clean them, and then sighed.
"Cedarkit! Where in Starclan's name are ya'?" She hissed, impatient. "We've got things to do and not a lot of time to do 'em."
We're always kickin' back. Nobody can take that.
And that is that. It’s like its all we have
