((ZOMG YOU MADE THE THREAD 8DD ALL SUCKINESS SHALL BE FORGIVEN. <3))
Ah, it was that time again.
Time to train Breezepaw.
Training Breezepaw wasn't a horrible task - no, at times it could even be entertaining. Training her apprentice was much more interesting than a more dull task. Like hunting, for example. Even teaching him how to hunt was better than plain old hunting. But he was getting much better at that chore, and Iceflower didn't have much else to teach him about the art of catching prey. Which left the boring task of hunt to be its normal, boring self.
But battle training, ah, battle training, that was something completely different. Iceflower much preferred fighting to hunting. She excelled at it, even. Fighting was interesting, unexpected.
So much better than hunting.
The white she-cat was now leading her apprentice to the mossy training hollow, where she would then launch into another lesson. Breezepaw didn't seem particularly excited to start battle training today, but ah well. He didn't seem to get excited about anything. It was better that way, so she wouldn't have to try and settle him down before she started training. Better dealing with a calm, bored apprentice than a jumpy, excited one.
Upon reaching the hollow, Iceflower spun to face the apprentice. "Alrighty, so, do you remember the move I taught you the other day? Show me," she instructed. "Demonstrate on me if you have to."

There went her good mood.
Poof, just like that.
So it was going to be one of those days.
Breezepaw, ten-moon-old Breezepaw, simply bent forward, and swiped lazily at the air with one of his forepaws. Very easily the first thing an apprentice learned. The easiest move there was. You bend...and you swipe.
It was most definitely not what she taught him last time they went training, that was for sure.
Iceflower's green eyes narrowed and she looked her apprentice over, assessing him. Clearly battle training was the last thing he wanted to do (when wasnt' it?) but it was a necessity. She would teach him how to fight if it took moons. She would not let him be a warrior until he took training seriously. She would hold him back as an apprentice until he finally actually started trying. And the leader would let her. There had to be a reason her brother gave her such an uncooperative apprentice. Perhaps he thought that she could actually train him.
"...is that it?" she demanded, allowing a touch of anger to color her tone. "That's all you remember? That had to be the most pitiful attempt I've ever seen!" She shook her head in disappointment. "We learned that move moons ago, Breezepaw. Last time we came battle training I was trying to teach you how to fight a badger." She sighed. At least he'd remembered the dodge thing. She had tried to teach him that, how to roll away from a badger attack.
"What do you remember about fighting badgers, Breezepaw?"
This was going to take some time. Time and patience.
