Perhaps it is because of her young age, and she'll grow out of it eventually, but regardless, her long, fluffy fur always seems on the verge of a fur disaster. Unlike her mother and brother, her pale tabby fur is more greyish than reddish, although it is still obviously brown. She has none of the white markings that her brother inherited, and seems to have inherited her father's eyes, for their green gaze is nothing like her mother's. But the thing is, she doesn't look or behave like an elder. She insists on leaving camp often, and doing thing for herself rather than let an apprentice do it for her. She is quite an attractive she-cat, elder or not. And in Auburnstripe's time as a warrior she was quite the catch. With her hazel/brown over coat and pure white stomach and chest, who can blame them? Running through the warm brown color on the top side of her body are dark brown stripes, almost black. They run along her body, from one flank, up over back, down to her opposite side. The only stipes that move lengthwise are those that run from the corners of her eyes and fade down her neck. Speaking of her eyes, they might be her most noticeable feature. Set wide in the angular planes of her face, they're a bright shade of green, that burn like fire even mundane emotions. The striped pattern only reaches halfway down her face, then it turns to pure, crisp white fur. Just right of her orangey-red nose is a dab of ginger colored fur, a rare quirk that she has always been proud of. Other than her glossy, medium-length pelt, Auburnstripe is a relatively normal cat. Not too thin, not too fat, quite small for an elder, really. One reason she is mistaken for a more, er, youthful she-cat. Her tail is long and thick, its density made up mostly of her fur, rather than flesh. Her fore-legs are padded with thick muscles, long, and are mostly white. The tips of her paws are a more dusty ginger color. Yes, she sports an always clean pelt, smooth and outlining visible muscles, a tell-tale trait of the pure-blooded ThunderClan cat. .: Personality: Auburnstripe not the run of the mill, ordinary elder. She despises that she's reached such a point in her life where she's had to separate herself from her life's work, her calling, being a warrior. Oh sure, the other cats say that she's lived a long, action-filled life and that she needs to slow down, and take it easy for the rest of her golden days. Auburnstripe disagrees. She fought and fought, and ended up continuing being a warrior until just two moons ago, when she finally gave in. She really isn't all that old, besides having her fair share of scars here and there, she looks, and acts, like any other bold, irritable she-cat. * Oh yes, Auburnstripe is not afraid to give you an earful if she's displeased. Especially those pesky apprentices who insist on trying to do everything for her, how demeaning. She's not one of those kind old folks that tell tall tales and cater to the kit's imaginations. No, she feels that they should tell it like it is. Hey, your father got eaten by a fox, thought you ought to know. Oi! There's a badger outside trying to murder everyone, get in the nursery! Those sentences seem completely acceptable to Auburnstripe, though they'd likely send a kit or apprentice into a nervous breakdown. Yes, she is quite blunt. Y'know, 'quite' isn't even enough. Auburnstripe is EXTREMELY blunt. But she isn't incapable of being compassionate, if you happen to hit a soft spot in her heart, she gets very protective. Clingy, even. .: History: Aspenfur was a pretty young thing, clean, short coat, emerald eyes, and a kind personality. She knew she wanted to be a queen from her first moon as an apprentice. She would gladly do chores for the queens, even without a warrior's request. She even had her eyes set on a fellow apprentice, he had been in the nursery with her, Cloverpaw was his name. They were just a quarter moon apart, and the two knew they'd be together when they were just seven moons old. It was no surprise when Aspenfur announced she was pregnant. She moved into the nursery when she was sixteen moons old. Her pregnancy was short, her litter of three was born premature. One kit, a she-cat, never took her first breath. The remaining kits were male and female, Auburnkit and Smallkit. Smallkit, the tom, was only a moon old when Greencough struck him and his sister. He moved onto StarClan in his sleep. Cloverthroat and Aspenfur took the death of their son hard, Cloverthroat throwing himself into his duties as a warrior, and Aspenfur making sure Auburnkit regained her health and became the best apprentice she could be, and eventually a warrior. Auburnkit was given Volenose as her mentor when she was six moons old. Soon after, a battle broke out between ShadowClan and ThunderClan over stolen kits, which may or may not have actually happened. Her father was struck down in his prime, dead on the battleground. Volenose, a strict she-cat who cemented the Warrior Code into Auburnpaw's mind, did not allow her anytime for grief over her father. Though her mentor was intelligent and tought her well, Auburnpaw resented her.
