Age: 6 Moons
Clan: Windclan
Rank: Kit (soon to be meddie cat apprentice)
Mentor: Soon to be Icewhisker
Love Interest: Impossible
Kin:
Spottedpelt- Mother (NPC)
Rabbitheart- Father (NPC)
Description:
Leopardkit is a smaller kit than most kits. She has the long legs that any Windclan cat would have. However she's never been as fast or strong as other kits. In fact she's pretty scrawny, which is a surprise given that her parents are both skilled warriors and have some serious bulk to them.
Her coat is short and brown, with darker brown spots She has dark tabby markings on her face. Her ears are slightly tipped in fur. Her whiskers are long, and quite sensitive. That's good, since she's partially blind. She can see straight ahead just fine. However that's all she can see. To see anything, aside from what's right in front of her face she needs to turn her head. To her sides everything is really blurry.
Personality
Because of the fact that she can't see as well as other cats, she avoids play fighting with the other kits. She often spends time with the elders, or stays close to the medicine cat den. Icewhisker fascinates her. She really wants to be just like the medicine cat one day.
She can be a bit jumpy, and irritable at times. The best way to have her clawing at your ears is to come up in one of her blind spots. Some of the other kits found this funny at first, until Leopardkit's father chased them away.
Leopardkit doesn't talk much. In fact she's painfully shy. She tends to run away as soon as somecat's noticed her. She finds it hard to carry on a conversation, or even hold eye contact for a long period of time. The only change to this is when she gets to know someone, then she opens up. She even gets a little bossy at that point.
History:
Five moons ago, during the middle of a gathering night, Spottedpelt went into labour. An apprentice had to run to the gathering to bring Icewhisker back. When they got back a single kit had been born. She was premature, however with the determination of both medicine cat and Spottedpelt the kit pulled though. She was given the name Leopardkit. Spottedpelt was ecstatic, she had lost so many kits. Had so many premature births, and now she had a kit who survived.
Leopardkit was coddled from birth. Her mother was always afraid something would happen to her only kit. Due to this she wasn't really allowed to play with the other kits, or do much else aside from hang out around the elder's den. She loved the stories that the elders told, and managed to memorize them all. It was during this time that she was attacked, in play, by another kit. Since he pounced on her from a blind spot, she attacked him in anger. Being weaker, she was promptly beaten up. This encounter ended in her first trip to the Medicine cat's den.
Upon seeing Icewhisker work, she was fascinated with the older cat. Within a few days (as soon as she was patched up) she was following her around and asking questions. She started spending less time around the elder's den, and more time watching the Medicine cat. She smiled, since she had never felt any desire to be a warrior. In fact, the idea of fighting scares the fur off of her. However being a medicine cat, a healer, thrills her. Now that she's approaching 6 moons old, she hopes that Icewhisker will notice her and take her on as apprentice. Maybe she'll work up the courage to ask, naw... never.
Other:
She has very limited Peripheral vision
Was created a kit at request of Icy-Son
Roleplay Example:
Leopardkit sat in the sun, listening to the elders speak. She loved their stories so much. Tales of times gone by, when the great clans lived. She loved it even more when they spoke of Leopardclan. That was because she was Leopardkit. Bearing the name of one of the great clans was a source of pride for the scrawny little she-kit.
She didn't see the little tom racing up at her from the side. She didn't notice at all until he rammed into her from her blind spot. The small she-cat let out loud scream then turned around and leapt on the tom. "You mousebrain!" she snapped! "You stupid mousebrain! What did you do that for?" She wasn't used to fighting, so within a few seconds the tom-kit was onto of her, beating her to a pulp. She squeaked loudly, until her father came running. The little tom took one look at the puffed up angry daddy cat, and ran back to the nursery.
"Come on Leopardkit, let's have those scratches looked at by Icewhisker."
He picked up the little cat in his mouth and walked over to the medicine cat's den. Leopardkit's eyes opened wide. It was amazing in here, she suddenly felt like she was... home. Then she decided, she was going to be the next medicine cat. Her tail flicked and she purred happily despite being in rather rough condition.
