.:Description:
Though many first see Stonewhisker as a smaller, more feeble tom, they are quickly corrected. Once inside the 'aura' that surrounds Stonewhisker, any cat could feel the authority and wisdom. Though he is not very old, he has acquired enough knowledge to be appointed deputy. Just 4 moons ago Whitestar was rushed into leadership, and to Stonewhisker's shock and delight, he was appointed deputy. He began holding his head high when he walked about camp, spending time he wouldn't have before to help supervise the kits, or straighten out a couple of rowdy apprentices. He was proud of his clan. And even if you wouldn't expect him to be deputy just by his appearance, he has his strengths. His reflexes are quick, and his smaller size grants him sleek muscles and a swift run.
Stonewhisker is blanketed in thick grey fur that is fairly short on his face an neck, but get progressively longer down his slim and strong body. His coat is that of a traditional ThunderClan cat: longer, forest colored. Everything thing about him said forest, even his eyes. Two large almond shaped becons sitting at an angle in his rounded face, the color of lichon hanging from the tall branches of trees.
.:Personality:
Stonewhisker, quite the opposite of his leader, Whitestar, is very extroverted. He tries to spend time with everyone in ThunderClan. Stonewhisker is quite proud to bear the title of deputy and doesn't take it lightly. He goes off on patrol with the other warriors almost religiously, every day, just after sunrise, no exceptions.
Underneath the calm and dominant exterior is a cheerful and kind cat, though he stuffs that side of himself away to look like a big, tough tom. He tends not to let his guard down for fear of someone thinking him childish, a fear brought on by insecurity about his size. Though he is an all around happy and positive cat to be around, Stonewhisker can and will take offense easily, and isn't afraid to give a stern look and skulk away from anyone who pushes it just a bit too far.
.:History:
Stonekit and his brother, Hawk-kit, were Cinderfur and Badgerclaw's first litter. They were both excited and nervous to have brought life to two new kits. They did not expect that one of the bloodiest fights in the Clan's history would happen when their babies were only five months old. Cinderfur, being a queen, was not forced into battle. The same could not be said for Badgerclaw, and though he fought bravely, his life was lost.
After the death of her loving mate, Cinderfur became more detached with the raising of her kits, letting the other queens watch over them more and more until she left the nursery close to their graduation into apprenticeship. Hawk-kit and Stonekit had become attached to another mother in the nursery, and barely noticed their birth mother's departure.
Hawk-kit and Stonekit never really connected with any apprentices as kits, and nothing changed when they reached the new stage in their lives. Now Stonepaw and Hawkpaw, the two boys were feeling unstoppable. They began to form a reputation with the other apprentices and the warriors, 'The Troublesome Twosome' they were called. Sneaking out of camp to try and catch prey on their own, even bullying the kits. This all came to a screeching halt when the boys' luck ran dry.
When the two apprentices were only 9 moons old, the late surge of greencough swept into ThunderClan like icy tendrils of death. Hawkpaw and Stonepaw both fell ill, along with a few other apprentices and many elders. The medicine cat kept the boys separate most of the time that Stonepaw was sick, she said that one of them had it worse than the other and she couldn't let him make anyone any sicker. Stonepaw would've given anything to trade places with his brother. He didn't see his litter-mate for nine whole days, until the medicine cat told Stonepaw he was well enough to go back to the apprentices den. Stonepaw's eyes had lit up at this. "Hawkpaw too?" he had cried out happily. His tail flickered when he saw her pitiful look. "What? Isn't he well?" he had said, more quietly this time. "He'll have to stay a bit more, Stonepaw. But you just go and ask Brackenfur what you have to catch up on."
It was almost a week later that she exited her den, and whispered something to Dovestar's deputy, Lionheart. Something she didn't wish to let the young ones know yet.
Stonepaw was in denial, then angry, then murderous. He didn't even notice when Lionheart was made leader after Dovestar fled. That time in Stonewhisker's life is still hazy. It was filled with death and violence and mourning, and he wishes no more than to forget about it. Time passed, he trained hard, his brother would have wanted him to. He learned how to use his size to his advantage in battle training and hunting. He eventually became the best hunter out of all the apprentices, able to crouch lower and spring fast and quietly. Stonepaw was a killing machine.
Stonewhisker felt no different when he became a warrior than he had as an apprentice. It was a large let down. It had been almost four moons since his brother had died, and the new warriors he had graduated with decided it was time to pull him out of his shell. Sandpelt, Squirreltail, and Crowstep were the three others. They began speaking with him from time to time, until Stonewhisker finally began to respond with enthusiasm. He fell hard and fast for Sandpelt. She was beautiful, and she was what his mind centered around all day.
Stonewhisker was given his first apprentice when he was 19 moons old. She was named after her smoky grey fur, Ashpaw. She was a hard apprentice to train, always misbehaving and leaving camp by herself. Stonewhisker had to lecture her more than once. Her training took only five months. She was appointed a warrior so early because when her companion, Tinypaw, was attacked by a fox when the two had snuck away from a hunting party, Ashpaw managed to lead the fox towards the other warriors, saving her life. Sadly, Tinypaw was not as lucky. Ashpaw's inquisitive and curious personality changed, into a brooding and negative mindset. Though she graduated from apprenticeship so much earlier than her littermates, Ashpaw was not excited. In her view it was her fault that Tinypaw lost her life. Stonewhisker blamed himself, for being so hard on her while she was in training and for not noticing her and Tinypaw's disappearance. Since then he has been very reluctant to take on any apprentices.
He and his friends matured together, and Stonewhisker shrugged off his troublemaker status and started trying to help his clan rather than hurt it. He was 23 moons old when Sandpelt and Squirreltail found out they were to be parents. Stonewhisker swallowed his pride and congratulated them half-heartedly. His heart had been broken twice now, but somehow he held on.
Only 27 months old when Whitestar was appointed leader, Stonewhisker was shocked and amazed and truly ecstatic that he was given the position of deputy. It was just what he need as he was beginning to slip back into depression with the loss of his secret love and his late brother weighing on his mind, becoming deputy was the best thing that had ever happened to Stonewhisker.

.:Roleplay Example:
A smooth, thin stretch of grey fur slinked through the crowd of cats. The taut feline kept his ears pricked, disliking the feeling being amongst so many foreign cats gave him. He was one of the cats on the edge of the group of ThunderClan warriors and apprentices, brushing along side RiverClan cats. Each time her contacted them he felt a tingling at the base of his neck.
"Hello," said a tawny she-cat who appeared to have sauntered out from the RiverClan midst. "I hear you're the new ThunderClan deputy." she said, adding a flirtatious swish of her tail. Stonewhisker raised his brow, "Yes, I have been for some moons now.." he said gruffly, eyes darting every which way. They passed over dark pelted ShadowClan cats, and the tall, thin WindClan apprentices. His eyes crossed oover all they could until they met hers again, "Oh," she mewed, "I'm Sparrowstep, and your name is... Stonefur?" He looked at her quizzically, why was a RiverClan she-cat making idle conversation with him like this? "It is Stonewhisker, And I really must be getting to the oak tree, Whitestar may be waiting.." He turned and glided away noiselessly. And there she was again, padding along side him, "So how is it, being deputy?" she mewed at him. Stonewhisker cocked her head at her, "What do you mean? It's hard work." he said, getting frustrated with her. "Oh, well, I was just.." she murmured.
Stonewhisker sat at the base of the oak tree while Whitestar and the other leader spoke their peace, thinking of the strange RiverClan female. What did she want? Did she have some secret motive other than just asking about his name and rank? All his questions would go unanswered for now, as his thoughts were interrupted. "Oh.." he exhaled as he looked down at the faces of the other cats, there she was. His eyes locked with hers, Green and amber beacons, pouring their light into one another. His stomach seemed to jump into his throat and the tip of his tail began to quiver. He had never felt like this before, not even when he was with Sandpelt. "All right, You're all free to go back to your territories now." Stonewhisker heard Rainstar call, and the returning buzz of cats standing and beginning to leave.
Stonewhisker and Sparrowstep's gaze only broke when he caught a glimpse of snow white fur. "Come now, Stonewhisker" said Whitestar softly. He felt like he felt a part of him click when he caught Sparrowstep's gaze that night. He had no idea that that she-cat would hold the key to his fate.
Thank you so much, it is an honor that I've been accepted!
