Description:
Lizardheart is a pretty she-cat. She has seasonally long fur that is a light shade of creamy tan. Her fur is covered in a ticked tabby marking, however it isn't really visible unless you stare at her for a long time. Her most noticeable feature are her markings. She's pointed. In fact she has mocha coloured lynx points. Down her back is a single stripe of brown that stands out from the rest of her body quite well. This stripe starts on her head and goes all the way to the base of her tail.
Her body is lean and foreign in build, giving her long legs a long whip like tail. However her head is more applelike than severely long. She is proud of her looks and keeps her fur in perfect condition.
During the summer her coat is short with only a little length to it. However come the cold of winter and she looks like a different cat, her fur grows to a thick luxuriant coat that protects her from the cold. This is a feature that she inherited from her father.
Like her mother Lizardheart has bright blue almond shaped eyes. They are slightly slanted and well proportioned to her body and face. She has a scar by her right eye, earned when she sassed off to an Thunderclan cat during a border confrontation.
Personality:
Honour, it is what comes first and foremost to Lizardheart's mind. She was taught from a young age to always act with honour, courtesy and pride. She has taken these lessons to heart and would never do anything to sully her honour or that of her family. She devotes herself to the clan and to upholding the code.
Lizardheart is a skilled warrior and is brave. One of her specialities is killing snakes. It's a thing she's been developing. Snakes, after all, are a big menace to an unsuspecting apprentices.
Ambitious and wanting to do the best thing for the Clan, Lizardheart aims always to do her best. She also pushes cats around her to do their best. Some of this springs from being taunted for not having Clanborn parents. However part of it comes from putting everything she is in the Warrior Code, and her devotion to it.
In battle she seeks out not just any cat, but cats she sees as worthy opponents. She will refuse to fight a cat that she belives is below her. If they presist, however, she will give them a few scars to remember her by before chasing them off.
History:
To understand Lizardheart's history one must go back not to her birth but to several years before. Back when Gorsestar was still leader, in the twilight of his rule over Windclan, a young kitten was found wandering over the moor. Judging by the way she stumbled about, and the purple collar around her neck it was obvious she was nothing more than a little lost kittypet. A new apprentice out on patrol saw her and she was brought back to the clans.
The young kit told them that her name was Lucy, however since no cat quite understood what a Lucy was they started calling her Skykit. Skypaw never did well in the clan. She wasn't meant, or bred, to be a warrior. However she managed to go though her training, barely. She was made a warrior and given the name Skyflower.
As soon as she could, Skyflower opted to become a full time queen. Though she had no kit of her own, she was happy to help other cats with their kits. Moons flew by and she never left the position of queen. No one pushed her to. After all, she was a horrible warrior.
Though and older queen, Skyflower was still helping out and not ready to move to the elder's den yet. She had good reason too. Finally she had found a mate, and was pregnant. A tom-cat, pure bred show cat Somali called Prince, was the father. With the warrior code being newly enforced it was frowned upon that she had mated outside the clan. And with a spoilt kittypet to boot.
Skyflower gave birth to a single tannish kitten eighteen moons ago. She smiled at her only child and whispered the kit's name, Lizardkit. Lizardkit grew up close to her mother, being taught to act with pride in the noble blood they came from. To live with honour and that said honour was more important than anything. Even her life.
Lizardkit had a normal kithood, and wasn't sickly or a trouble maker. So when she was six moons old she was made an apprentice. The leader was careful to make sure that she was paired with a traditional mentor named Ravencall.
Lizardkit stood tall and grinned when she was given the name Lizardpaw. She swore to bear the name with pride until she was given her warrior name.
During her apprenticeship her mother chose to finally move to the Elder's den. Lizardpaw was sad to see her mother give up what she was best and and loved doing the most. However Skyflower was getting old and couldn't have kits jumping on her or using her tail for target practice.
Lizardpaw used much of her free time to make sure that her mother was as comfortable as could be, fetching her the softest moss and using fur and feathers from fresh-kill to line the old she-cat's nest.
When she wasn't attending to her mother she was training hard, learning to hunt and fight. She didn't really like the fighting, what she loved best was scouting and doing patrols. Being out of the camp, and seeing all the sights was what made her feel alive.
She fought in a few border skirmishes. And dealt with a snake problem that had sprung up. Other than that the six moons of her apprenticeship flew by with not much event or fan-fare. The day finally, came, she was a year old. Once again she stood before the leader, and beside her mentor. She glowed with prided as Fernstar told spoke of the young cat's honour and valour. Then pronounced her name, Lizardheart. All around her the cat's cheered for her, calling her name. And above them all she could hear mother cheering the loudest. It was in that moment that Lizardheart set her sights on a new name, Lizardstar. She knew that one day she would bear that name with pride. She knew she could do great things for Windclan, lead them into a time when all cats were honourable and the warrior code was respected.
But that day was far in the future. Lizardheart had the duties of a newly made warrior. And she stuck to them, each thing she did she did with her whole heart and for the clan. She perfected her snake killing skills, and listened to her mother's stories about the "kings of the east" committing them to memory for the time when she was able to tell stories. Now six moons have passed since she became a warrior, and she is looking for the day when she is given her own apprentice, someone to teach the ways of honour and to follow the code.
