The medicine cat just rolled her eyes with attitude. "Be more careful next time, won't you Oh Mighty Deputy?" she mewed roughly. "Never pick on any thing that has been starved or bigger than you. Come back to camp and tell the Clan." Her gaze wavered over to the young apprentice, her icy blue eyes glittering with worry. "I know she'll be all right, just some time." She stopped, suddenly forgotten she had Leopardkit in here.

"Yes Leopardkit. But I believe for the wound, marigold with cobwebs. If it opens again in a day, come straight to me. Then I'll try something different." She informed, attempting to keep her mew steady.

Dapplepaw winced at Redfang's cry of pain. She couldn't help but feel that she had caused all of this, which, inadvertently, she did. If she hadn't tried to go for that dumb rabbit, and hadn't fallen down the hill, that fox wouldn't have ever attacked them. Her muscles quivered from exhaustion and nervousness, she followed her mentor's lead and slumped down heavily, but all she emitted was a pained whimper. She felt a sharp pain in her rear leg, and squeezed her yellow eyes shut in response to the red hot feeling. She whimpered, looking up at Icewhisker scolding Redfang.

"No, no," she started in guilt-ridden protest. She didn't want to upset WindClan's Medicine Cat, but neither could she just sit there and let her mentor take the blame. "I'm the one who ran at it, I wasn't thinking strait.." she murmured, head bowed half as a sign of respect, half as preparation for getting an earful. Her tail wiggled uncomfortably behind her, as Leopardkit buzzed around. Really, Dapplepaw didn't see anything wrong with her helping out. It made her feel just a little bit more comfortable seeing another young cat around.

Leopardkit

Leopardkit padded around the Medicine cat den, grabbing what she needed. She looked up at Icewhisker, trembling a little. She was afraid of messing up big time. She grabbed the marigold and cobwebs, then handed it to the Icewhisker. "Here." she mewed, before padding over and picking up some poppyseeds. She dropped three of them infront of the Deputy. "E-eat those." She mewed. "They're help dull the pain." she was pretty sure he knew it, but she said it anyway. Then she stepped back and sat down to watch and wait until she was told to do something else.

"I didn't exactly have a choice, Icewhisker!" Redfang spat back, followed by a rough cough. He would not accept attitude, even from the medicine cat. At least, not with his tail tucked between his legs. "Unless you preferred that I left my wounded apprentice behind for fox food!" Just the thought of that was enough to fill Redfang with a fierce anger; he sprung up onto one paw, and he would've continued ranting at her, if Dapplepaw hadn't spoken up for him.

With a sigh, he eased himself back onto the ground, trying not to wince as he did so. As Leopardkit approached, he fixed her with a glare, and then relented, licking up the seeds. At once, his body felt twice as heavy as it used to, and his eyelids drooped. "Don't... mess up," he muttered, as his eyes closed and his breathing deepened.
